Stiles was used to everything going bad and then getting worse. He was used to everyone being evil and out to get him. What he didn't expect was Haley Darby. A seemingly normal girl who, admittedly, had caught his attention before. She stumbled into...

Hayley heard Stiles' voice. His deep, hoarse shouts echoed across the hospital corridor and into the room Hayley and Natalie were in. Hayley grumbled, knowing she would have to go to her boyfriend and reluctantly pulled away from her mother's comforting arms.
Hayley didn't move, not wanting to leave her mother alone after almost being killed again. Her gaze kept flickering towards the door unknowingly. Natalie had a knowing look in her eyes, "Go." She said, having heard Stiles' voice too.
She rushed through the door, a loud crash as she shoved it open and it clattered into the hospital walls. The closer she got the more she heard.
Stiles' grunts and the harsh stinging sound of a slap, him shouting Derek's name. Hayley presumed Derek was unconscious from the sounds of it and egged her feet to move a little faster. Her vision went slightly blurry at the fast pace, her feet stumbling slightly before she righted herself. Now was not the time to faint.
There were bigger problems at hand.
"Derek, come on!" Stiles shouted, slapping Derek's face once more. Hayley's feet slowed as she saw the scene before her.
Derek lay unmoving, unresponsive at Stiles' tried to wake him. It wasn't working, the pain doing nothing to wake the man up. She knelt next to her boyfriend and he turned, having felt someone near him, with a worried expression in his eyes.
The lights turned on and off round them, encasing them in darkness before switching back to the blinding light Hayley had to squint her eyes in. "What do we do? Why is he not waking up?" Stiles asked, fingers tapping against his arms.
"Shit, shit, shit." Hayley muttered, not knowing either. She lightly pushed Stiles to the side, "let me try. Gives me an excuse to slap the guy." She lifted her hand ready to strike his face with as much strength as she could when Derek's eyes opened.
His hand grabbed her arms, pulling them away from his face. It was slightly painful, Hayley wincing under her breath as Derek looked round, breathing heavy. "Where is she?" He grunted.
"Jennifer?" Stiles asked from beside Hayley, trying to pull Derek's arm away from the girl. "Gone, with Scott's mom."
"What!?" Hayley asked, turning to look at the brown-haired boy. A lot had gone on whilst she was with her mom apparently.
"She took her?" Derek asked.
"Yeah. If that's not enough of a kick to the balls, Scott left with Deucalion, okay? So we gotta get you out of here. The police are coming right now, and we gotta get you the hell out of here." Stiles rambled, voice heavy with uneasiness.
Hayley's brows furrowed. Deucalion didn't come for her. Not that she wanted him to or anything it was just odd. The Alpha wanted them both, surely he would have gone after Hayley too but he didn't. She remained perfectly intact, well intact at least, by her friends and family. She didn't know what this meant and she wasn't sure she wanted to find out.
