Stiles was used to everything going bad and then getting worse. He was used to everyone being evil and out to get him. What he didn't expect was Haley Darby. A seemingly normal girl who, admittedly, had caught his attention before. She stumbled into...

Hayley reluctantly woke up. Her body tangled within her lilac covers as it longed to stay there a little longer. She knew she had school unbelievably soon and had to get ready but the thought of sleep seemed a hell of a lot more fun, and most definitely the better option.
It was a lot for her feet to touch her carpeted floors but still she did. Moping towards the wardrobe in her half-asleep state to pick an outfit out for the day. She dressed herself into a long pink and flowery skirt, a black tank top and a white cropped cardigan before clipping half of her curls to the back of her head and out of her face.
She closed her bedroom door behind her as she made her way towards the bathroom, ready to finish off the rest of her morning routine when she looked up startled. There was a man before her and he had just walked out of her mother's room.
She had never seen him before and never wanted to see him again.
Her eyes widened and Hayley rushed to the bathroom before he had the chance to speak, practically gagging at the thought of him being in the same room as her mother. She locked the door behind her, letting out a large breath as the questions began swarming in her head.
The questions continued as she brushed her teeth and did her make up routine and they were still there when she rushed out the apartment and opened the door to Stiles' jeep. "Morning." She said, leaning forwards and kissing him.
Stiles didn't reply and barely kissed her back. There was something troubling him as his brows creased in deep thought. "What you thinking babe?" Hayley asked, rubbing circles across his hand.
Stiles blinked, looking at her. "It's nothing probably. Just had a weird dream last night that's all."
"No, it's more than that. I know it is." Hayley disagreed,
"It was- It was horrible." He turned to Hayley with tears in his eyes, "It was a dream in a dream in a dream in like 5 other dreams and I don't- I don't know what is real or not. I don't know whether this is just another dream and I haven't woken up. I-I can't tell."
Hayley pulled him into a hug, "I can promise you now this isn't a dream."
"How?" Stiles asked, his voice breaking.
Hayley pinched the skin on his hand and Stiles winced, "See not a dream." Hayley paused, thinking, "It's the sacrifices isn't it? The ice bath, it's messing with you. I've seen it happening to Scott and Allison too."
"I-I just wish it would stop." Stiles admitted, placing his shaking hand over Hayley's

Hayley and Stiles rushed over to Scott who was watching his shadow distressed. He ran down the steps outside school, pained breaths escaping his lips. Stiles placed a hand on his shoulder and his eyes shot towards him, "Hey. Hey." Scott's chest heaved up and down as he breathed, "You alright?" Scott reluctantly nodded, "You don't look alright, Scott."
