Hey 👋🏽😊 Everyone,

Again, thank you for your patience. I've been dealing with real life issues.

So, here's chapter twenty nine, it's a little sad though, so I'll ask you to prepare your tissues, your comments (THE MOST IMPORTANT) and your votes. Please press the orange Star after reading.

"Oh my dear. How are you?"

Hibba nodded very respectfully and smoothed the back of her navy blue maxi skirt as she sat in Salman's stepmother's office. They'd just ended a two hour PR meeting when Adetutu Adebayo the CEO of the PR company she worked at, known to the Baazinye children as Iya called her in for a brief chat.

"Should we be expecting you in our family soon?" Hibba blushed and showed Iya her neck because she suddenly felt shy.

"You're shy? No problem then, I'll just ask Salman when I can wear my Gele to ask your hand in marriage, that would be better right?" Hibba giggled at her words, not saying anything still.

"I hope he's treating you well, if he isn't, report to me. I'm the disciplinarian." She hit her chest softly, the trinket on her right wrist jiggled.

Hibba raised her head and looked straight at Iya's face, she saw nothing but doting and genuine affection there. Hibba wondered how Salman's father lucked it out on the women he married.

"He's treating me well." She watched Iya nod her head, as she bent down to pick up something, she said a prayer of protection for Salman and Hibba. Hibba cupped her hands to say Ameen very fervently, when Iya picked up the heavy looking box and handed it to her, she blinked as she accepted the glossy Kraft box with a pink bow.

"That is from his sisters. They heard you're back together now and decided to curry favor with you." Hibba had no words and it looked like Iya knew she was speechless since she waved her off and let her go.

She was still in a trance when Chichi snatched the box from her immediately she reached their office. "What is this?"

"From Salman's sisters." Hibba answered listlessly. She had never had any man love as intentionally and openly like Salman. He wanted her to be happy, she couldn't almost believe it to be true, sometimes she waited for something to go wrong. It was the curse that came with watching people lie instead of being affectionate.

"Should I open the box for you?" Chichi's persistent question made Hibba shake her head to clear her thoughts. She pulled the box to her side and unknotted the pink bow herself.

"ShopRite vouchers? Aldo slippers, a Charles and Keith bag? Oh my goodness. These are amazing presents." Hibba turned the pair of slippers and found it was in her size. The bag was a pink office shoulder bag that should fit her iPad. The vouchers were for the fruit and drinks section. She rifled through the confetti in the box and found a pair of baby bracelets and a small pink Primark pouch that must be for Ummi.
