Better Day

I woke up late since I didn't have to deal with David and his shitty wake up call, Gwen didn't give a shit, and Q.M. was...doing things. Neil wasn't even up when I decided too. I was looking for one of many blue hoodies, when I found David's phone. 'He doesn't even he left it here' I thought. I found a note on the phone case, it read, 'If you ever need to call, call the first number in contacts.'

I threw the note away, it was a piece of shit but at least I have David's phone. He was stupid enough to leave it here, so now I have some sort of connection to the outside world. I grabbed my hoodie and walked out of my tent, heading to the camp house (I apologize I forgot what it was called), and headed to a table. The only people there was Nerf, Dolph, Space Kid, and Nikki. It seemed kinda empty without half of the kids or Gwen.

After eating whatever the fuck breakfast was supposed to be, I headed towards the lake. To my surprise Neil was there.

"Hey Max," Neil said without turning his head.

"Have you been learning magic with Harrison because I swea-" I started to say but then was cut of by a random noise. It sounded like a car locking. "We just got rid of David yesterday, was is he back."

I whipped my head around to see Campbell. He looked happier than usual, normally he had his 'I just pulled off a scam and now the cops are after me face, or 'I have a great idea for a scam that you kids are gonna help with against your will' this was a face I've never seen and it scared me.

He was greeted by Gwen, "Mr. Campbell I didn't expect you were gonna be here today!" Gwen was panicked, like she was about to have a mental brake down right there.

"Well today is a day to celebrate! David quit!" He almost shouted.

He disgusted me. How could someone say that about someone who looked up to them. Ew I was defending David, gross.

"Why is that a good thing?" Dolph asked. He was such a suck-up towards David.

"Because we don't have to deal with shitty happiness," I answered.

"Exactly small child."

This had to be the stupidest man on Earth.

"My name is Max you stupid ass soup man."

"Whatever, I just came here to share good news."

"You're just an asshole, and not the cool one," Erin said coming from behind the camp house.

He was practically surrounded by kids and a panicked Gwen. As much as I hate David, no one deserves to be treated this horribly by their idol. Especially if they knew each other personally.

"If you don't want to appreciate the fact that I drove him out of this camp then fine, make me the bad guy."

"WHAT!" All of us said in unison.

Suddenly Gwen wasn't so panicked anymore. She took Campbell by the arm and dragged him into the consler cabin. Neil and I followed to spy on them.

"You are going to tell me everything now."
