SOKOVIA
Nadia Maximoff's deep brown eyes were round in shape and were that of what looked like dark chocolate. Her skin was pale and was soft and smooth. Her dimples were very obvious whenever she smiled widely while showing off her teeth. Her perfectly sculpted eyebrows were well defined and were slightly lighter in shade compared to her eyes. The most defining feature was that of a scar above her left eyebrow that she had gotten from a disagreement with Pietro when they were younger over a toy that their father had gifted them with. It was small and shaped like the moon that looked as if it was in its waxing crescent phase. It wasn't super noticeable at first glance but the longer a person stared at Nadia, the more noticeable it was to them and became her most defining feature.
Her hair, on the other hand, was a light brown that almost looked as if it was a light blonde color while in the sunlight. She often wore her hair down in little curls but sometimes would style her hair in a low ponytail if she was in the mood. Currently, she had her hair down in twisty curls as she stood by her two siblings and had an unreadable look to her. She scanned her eyes over the room that she was in. Various people were roaming around the room as they panicked and tried to figure out what to do about the Avengers, who were outside the research base and were trying to break in for the scepter.
Nadia, the oldest of the Maximoff children, had to grow up too soon when the bombing of her apartment building caused the murder of her parents. She remembered the fear she had felt when she saw her parent's dead bodies. She remembered feeling Pietro grab her and Wanda and hide themselves under the bed. When the second shell landed three feet in front her eyes, she had a feeling that at any moment it would go off but it never did. She had always been curious as to why it was defective and had never gone off and she would continue to be inquisitive about the situation that happened when she was only fifteen years old.
The attack on the apartment building had a horrific and traumatic effect on Nadia and the twins. Seeing the name Stark Industries largely printed on the shell, she felt a deep enmity and hatred toward Tony Stark and his weapons for causing her parents to not survive the attack. Therefore, the Maximoffs spent a good amount of their lives dedicated to political protests to drive the American forces out of their country whenever they invaded the streets of Sokovia. They rioted against Stark Industries and the Avengers and blamed them for the death of their parents. S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra had been given word of their political acts and thought that they could potentially be threats and allies and had kept tabs on the three.
What the twins and Nadia didn't know was that all of the political protests we're organized and orchestrated by Hydra who had taken up residence in Sokovia to keep a cover on their experimentations. Doctor List had spotted the three at one of the protests and had offered them a once in a lifetime chance at receiving powers so that they could put a stop to the war zone happening in their home country.
Nadia was the only skeptical one of her siblings and had thought that it wasn't the best idea for them to do as she was somewhat torn on what the right thing to do was. But if there was one thing that anyone took away from knowing Nadia, it was that she refused to leave the only family she had left and that family meant everything to her. She remained true to her word to never be separated from her twin siblings despite the Sokovian ophanage that had tried to do so numerous times when they were younger. She had also thought that her parents would disagree with the very idea of joining Hydra but she also didn't want to lose the only family she had left in this world and therefore stuck with Wanda and Pietro and their need to be with Hydra.
After she agreed to volunteer to be experimented on, she was eerily quiet around the Hydra agents, Doctor List, and Strucker. She only felt comfortable when in the same vicinity as Wanda and Pietro and would be quiet as a mouse when they weren't all together. Hydra found her to be unpredictable and had no idea what her true intentions were and had feared that she would retaliate against the organization but if she ever did, they had their ways of making sure that Nadia didn't leave.
