Kuroo's POV

I sighed, trying not to fall asleep as the teacher continued to rant on about graduation.

I rolled my eyes and turned on my phone, making sure to make it look like I was listening.

I smiled at my home screen that was a picture of me and Kenma on Halloween.

"Speaking of Kenma..." I mumbled quietly to myself.

I went to our text messages and began to text him.

Babe, I'm bored.-Me

I stared at the phone, waiting for him to respond. I smiled when it said 'read' but it slowly faded when there was no response.

"Ughhh, Kenmaa.....don't leave me hanginggg..." I groaned, quietly putting my head down on the desk.

My phone vibrated, causing me to quickly look down at my phone.

Oh. Really? -Babes

Yes! I am! -Me

Oh..okay...I'm in class though -Babes

I know😩 All we're talking about is graduating. -Me

You ARE graduating next month. It would only be logical if you guys talked about it. -Babes

Ughh, I don't even want to graduate. I wanna stay in high school with you. -Me

... -Babes

Oh, come on! There are so many things left to do! I need to decide who the next captain should be with coach, I need to get my freaking driver's license...so many thingsssss.... -Me

Just give it to Yaku, he is a great player. -Babes

I know but like...what about you? You're such a great player too. -Me

Don't say that, it's cheesy... -Babes

Come on, I'm not lying..just accept it...you're a good player. -Me

Shoot, I have to go. My teacher wants me, I'll text you later, Kuro. -Babes

Okayy, love you -Me

You too -Babes

Say itt...- Me

FINE! I love you too! Now stop texting me! -Babes

I smiled and turned my phone off to see everyone staring at me.

"O-Oh..what?" I whispered, making eye contact with the teacher who was now behind me.

"Kuroo, it seems like you're having fun texting you partner, is that more fun than graduation?" He asked.

I nervously laughed and looked  everywhere but at him.

"Am I supposed to answer that question honestly?" I nervously asked.

He sighed and shook his head, grabbing my phone without any word. "W-Wait, if I answer the question honestly, can I get my phone back?" I asked.

"No." He mumbled, putting it on his desk. I sighed and put my head down, ignoring the laughter from the other students.

Kenma's POV

I put my phone in my pocket and walk up to the teachers desk quietly.

"Mr. Kozume, it has come to my attention that your grade in this class have been dropping." She mumbled, slowly looking up at me.

I gave her a small nervous smile, as my hair shifted in my face.

"Yes, I've been struggling with the subject." I whispered.

"I've noticed. You do have awesome grades in all of your classes since last year, this is a surprising thing to see here." She mumbled.

I nodded, and looked down at my feet. "I'm going to get you a tutor for this unit, so that it won't be too hard on your shoulders, are you okay with that?" She asked.

I opened but closed my mouth right after, nodding. She smiled and wrote something on a piece of paper.

"Wonderful, you are a really smart student, we can't have you stressed out so much. You have this, and aren't you doing a sport also?" She asked.

"Yes ma'am, I'm on the volleyball team." I mumbled, fidgeting with my jacket.

"Ah, wonderful. Also, I got an email from the student council, you are to go to them right after class." She smiled, handing me a slip.

I frowned but took the paper. "Thank you." I smiled, quickly making my way back to my seat.

"What was that about?" Fukunaga asked, tapping me on my shoulder from behind.

I turned to him and showed him my slip. "I don't know, the student council wants to see me after class." I frowned.

He gasped and took the slip to read it more clearly. "Oh my god! The student council?! What did you do?" He frowned.

"I didn't really do anything...is it my grade in this class...?" I whispered.

"What's your grade?" He nervously asked.

"...A 48." I whispered. His eyes widened and he laughed.

"No, that can't be it. That grade is normal." He chuckled.

I frowned but shrugged, getting the slip back and turning back around.

I sighed and looked at my phone again, opening messages.

Kuro...I have to get tutoring. -Me

I stared at the messages but turned my phone off after a few seconds. My phone turned back on, and I look down at the new message.

Kenma, I have news... -Kaede

I frowned but sighed, texting him back.

Okay..? -Me

I just got a call from court and they wanted me to come in for a while to discuss things about mom. -Kaede

What? What do you mean? -Me

They want me to have a part in her sentence. Meaning, I am expected to decide if she gets to be in your life. -Kaede

Why? I'm 16, don't I get allowed to have a say in this too? -Me

You do, but they decided that I was to have  more of a mature view in the situation. They did want you to come in but I decided to just go alone. -Kaede

Why? I want to come. -Me

Kenma..If you were to go, would you want things to go back to normal? -Kaede

I frowned and slowly started to type.

I want her to come back. Even if it means that I'll be hated by her. Just try to let me see her at least one more time... -Me

I blinked back the tears that were forming in my eyes as he texted back.

I'll try -Kaede

I turned off the phone and put my head down.

It would be nice if you were here with me, Kuroo.

I groaned and sighed, staring out of the window.

Why'd it have to be now? It could've been earlier, before Kuroo have to graduate.

I don't want to do this alone but it seems like I'm going to have to anyway...
