Kenma

The party was a bore and got loud very quickly. I sighed, leaning on the wall, sipping on whatever was in my cup. I watched as Lev and Yamamoto continued to have a drinking battle on top of the dinning room table.

I chuckled at the sight of someone catching a drunk Lev from falling down onto the floor. I felt a small tap on my shoulder, which made me flinch away as I looked over at the guy.

"Oh, did I scare you?" He asked, leaning on the wall beside me. I stared at him for while, trying to recognize him from the team and successfully did, remembering the guy who's name was, Akio.

"O-oh, no you didn't, Akio, right?" I softly smiled. He smiled back at me, nodding his head.

During the whole time, everyone was talking, drinking and playing around, while I had been talking with Akio. We had nice filled conversations that had made the time speed up, which was a good thing for me.

I had found out that his father had also passed away last year due to a stroke and immediately we connected. He and I made our way outside, feeling bothered by the loud music and chatter inside.

"Where was I?" He asked, thinking about what he had just been telling me.

"Uh...Your mother." I mumbled, holding my arms close to me due to the soft gush of wind that kissed my naked arms.

"Oh, yeah! She took really good care of me and my little sister when our father passed away. During that time, they had gotten a divorce but she still decided to take care of us." He hummed, looking up at the sky.

My mouth hung open as I felt amazed by his mothers kindness. "Wow, My mother was a total..." I stopped myself, realizing what I was going to say and frowning.

What am I saying? She was just upset at me..

"A total bitch?" He finished, letting a soft smile sneak onto his face. I let myself nod and gave him a half focused smile. He chuckled and sighed, looking over at me.

"How is that?" He asked, searching my eyes for an answer that I was hesitant to give him.

"Y-You know...Just...mother stuff I guess? Anger issues?" I hinted, shrugging softly at him.

"Oh, yeah. I get it. It's like their time of month but instead it's every month?" He chuckled.

Absolutely the opposite. It was never her time of the month. It was everyday not just every month, there was a difference in it...Every month makes it seem so rare..Every second couldn't even describe it.

"Totally." I dryly chuckled, looking back at the sky. He sighed and got closer to me, making me look over to him in confusion.

"Oh, sorry. I got cold and forgot my jacket inside. Is it fine if I hug you?" He asked. I frowned and awkwardly gave him a soft smile.

"I-I have a boyfriend..so...I don't think that's a good I-idea." I whispered, looking down at the gavel beneath our feet.

"Oh! No, no no! I wasn't- Oh my god, sorry...That probably sounded so wrong, I didn't mean it like that. I was just really truthfully cold and thought that us hugging would help, I'm so sorry!" He panicked, trying to justify his answer.

"O-Oh, no I'm sorry, I misunderstood. Uh..S-Sure, we can..hug." I whispered, getting closer to him. He gently out his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to his chest. Immediately felt warmer than before but was tense.

Hmm...I don't want to be here anymore....I want Kuro..

I frowned into his chest, cringing at the unfamiliar warmth. I opened my eyes, staring at his shoulder, wanting to pull away but I knew that he wouldn't want that.

"Is your boyfriend on the Volleyball team?" He suddenly asked. I wanted to say yes but knew that Kuro had already graduated from the Volleyball team and school.

"He was the captain before he graduated." I mumbled into his chest.

"Oh, wait, was he that guy named Kuroo Tetsurou?" He asked, looking down at me.

"Yeah, that's him." I mumbled, sighing lightly into his arms.

"Oh well-"

Before he could even get a sentence out, another from a different person came in. " Kenma?" The familiar voice asked. I let him go quickly and turned around to see who it was.

"O-Oh, Yamamoto." I mumbled, as Akio let me go.

"What the fuck are you doing with that freshman?" He frowned, walking up to us.

"Nothing, he asked me to hug him since he was cold.." I mumbled, as he stopped in front of me and him.

"Cold? Really? And you believed that?" He asked, glancing over at Akio.

"Don't worry, as first I thought he was trying to make a move on me but he quickly denied so, it's fine." I softly smiled. Yamamoto stared at me for a while before looking at the ladder.

He walked up to him and whispered something in his ear, making Akio chuckle lightly. Yamamoto glared at him before looking back at me.

"Kenma, go in the house." He mumbled. I frowned and looked at him in confusion.

"What, why? I don't like it in-"

"Kenma, go. Now, I'll be right behind you, I just want to talk to him for a while." He huffed, making me look towards the ground in embarrassment.

I silently leave the scene and go into the house where the music only got louder, causing me to cringe. I quickly made my way to the front door and opened it, quickly remembering how I got here.

Can't leave. I'll just wait in the car.

I walked to the car, checking to see if it was unlocked and thankfully, it was. I opened the back door and quickly got in, making sure to lock it behind me.

I sighed and closed my eyes, thinking of the warmth that I really wanted.

Why is time moving so much slower with you gone, Kuro?
