"Ugh..." Branch groaned, slowly beginning to wake up. He lay in the grass, his eyes shut, as moved his head around slightly, trying to shake away his sleepiness. "My head..." he groaned, a terrible pain shooting through his brain.

Slowly, he sat up, as he rubbed his head, trying to rid himself of his horrible headache.

"Ow!" he suddenly yelled out, as he grabbed his arm, a sharp pain shooting through it as it moved. "Ow..."

He looked down at his arm, his eyes widening, as he saw it was now covered in a single giant bruise. What... what happened?

Slowly, he turned his head, gasping when he saw Poppy laying next to him, still unconscious.

"Poppy!" he yelled, crawling over to sit next to her, as all his memories came flooding back. The Enchanted Forest trolls... they had tricked them... they had tried to kill them... "Poppy? Are... are you okay?"

He placed his hand gently on her cheek, but she didn't move. Was she even breathing?

"Wake up, Poppy," he cried softly, shaking her gently. "Come on... you gotta wake up."

"Dad!? Dad!?" he suddenly heard in a shout from off in the forest. "Where are you, dad!?"

He turned towards the voice, seeing Creek walking through the forest, looking behind trees and inside bushes.

Branch did not like Creek, but Poppy needed help, and he was his only option.

"Help! Creek!" he shouted, tears in his eyes. "Creek, help! Please!"

Creek tuned at the cry for help, seeing Branch kneeling on the ground.

"Ugh..." he groaned in disgust. "Branch..."

He was about to turn, and walk away, leaving Branch to deal with his own problem, when he noticed Poppy on the ground next to him.

"P... Poppy?" he questioned softly, his eyes wide in horror. "Poppy!"

Quickly, he ran over, shoving Branch out of the way, as he knelt down next to Poppy, checking her over.

"Poppy? Poppy, wake up," he said frantically, but she didn't wake up. She didn't move... she didn't even make a sound...

Slowly, Creek raised his head, glaring up at Branch.

"What did you do!?" he yelled at the little grey troll, seeming more angry then sad.

Branch backed away slowly, as he looked at Creek, frightened.

     "I... I didn't... I..." he stuttered.

"This is you're fault!" Creek yelled, standing up, as he stormed over to Branch.
"But... but I... I didn't..." Branch stuttered, tears flowing from his eyes.

"You're a jinx!" Creek yelled poking his finger roughly into Branch's chest. "I told you! I told you to stay away from her! I told you that everyone you love dies! But you didn't listen!"
"B... but..." Branch stuttered softly, still backing away from Creek who screamed at him in pure rage.

"And now you've killed her!" Creek continued. "You killed Poppy!"

Branch shook in fear and sadness, tears flowing from his eyes, as he looked at Creek, his eyes wide in disbelief.

"N... no..." he said, not believing what he was hearing. "I... I was just..."

He turned his attention back to Poppy, beginning to walk over to her, as he cried in sadness.
