Afeeya's point of view.
I walk, scrolling through my phone. "Afeeya, eyes on the road, not your phone." Fayadth reminds me as I hurriedly comment back before pushing the power button.
I glance at Fayadth. "Done."
"Why are we doing this again?" I ask, slumping my shoulders. "Just so, I bet its been a long time since you went on a walk."
I look at my feet, realizing bow beautiful they look. "Yeah, I guess so." I pull out my phone.
"Afeeya." He calls my name. "Wait, I'm trying to capture memories.....and some for my page. Say, hi." I click the video button as he shields his face with his hand.
"What are you doing?z,,"
"Updating my followers, don't tell me you're shy." I tease, laughing.
He puts his hand down, looking at me. "You're posting that?" He slides his hands in his pocket.
"No, this is for my eyes only. When it comes to you, only for me." He smiles, pulling out his left hand from his pocket and holds my hand.
I hold his hand, smiling widely. A car honks as i dart my eyes at it. I see it slow down, driving towards us.
It stops beside us, rolling down his window when I see Hamisu, the photographer from the ad.
"Hello, Afeeya." Hamisu calls me before he gets out of his car. I glance at Fayadth who looks surprised but suddenly changed to a blank expression.
He walks to me, taking off his sunglasses. "Hey, its been long. Have you forgotten about the lunch you owe me or was it dinner?" He asks as I hold Fayadth's hand tighter.
I chuckle, pulling my veil forward. "Sorry, this is my husband, Fayadth. Fayadth, this is a...friend of mine." I look at the both of them, realizing how they were staring at each other. I could sense tension between them and a toxic one in fact.
"Fayadth, you're her husband." Hamis says with a different tone, intimidating one.
"Yes." He also replies coldly. "What a coincidence, huh?"
"I hope so." Fayadth says and I slightly lean on Fayadth's arm, nudging him a bit. He shouldn't fuck this up for me.
Hamis scoffs, shaking his head. "Believe it or not, it is. I'm not going to try to prove myself to you, I won't waste my time." Hamis replies when I stand well, raising a brow.
"Excuse me?" I gain Hamis's attention. "Please, don't say that to my husband. I don't like the way you're speaking to him."
I say with a stern face. He raises his hands. "I apologize, I didn't mean it. I would like to still go lunch or dinner if its possible."
"I'm sorry but my schedule is packed this week and I'm presently taking a walk with my husband."
He takes a step towards me when Fayadth stretches his arm in front of me, making me step back away from him.
"Could you step back or better off, excuse us? We are taking a walk."
Fayadth says, Hamis glaring at him but that didn't seem to phase him at all. "I'm talking to her."
"And she's my wife. Leave." Hamis glances at me, giving me a tight lipped smile.
"Goodbye."
"Goodbye, Afeeya." He puts his sunglasses on, giving Fayadth a glare before walking back to his car.
Fayadth holds my hand and we continue, walking. I could sense the tension even by the way he's tightly holding my hand.
I'm not going to talk to him about it, when we get home maybe.
