Fayadth's point of view.

I take a sip of my coffee, placing the cup back on its saucer while reading the newspaper.

State of emergency. Something that's being normalized in Nigeria now.

I shake my head slightly before closing the paper and folding it. I keep it on the center table when I see afeeya staring at me.

She leaned on the wall with her arms crossed, managing to smile weakly at me. "Morning." She says pushing herself off the wall to her feet then started walking towards me.

"Morning." I reply as she sits on my legs, hugging me. I hug her tightly, caressing her back with a hand.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

She pulls away, smacking her lips. "Are you going to Baba today?"

"Yeah, that's the plan." She strokes my beard gently. "Are you okay?" I lean back on the chair. "Yes, of course." She scoffs, tilting her head.

"I'm serious." She smiles, letting out a sigh. "I'm worried about us, Fayadth."

"I'll talk to baba and anya sham."

"Please don't fight them on it. I don't want you to ruin your relationship with your family." She hangs her head, hiding her welled up eyes. "But....". Her voice cracks as I sit up, inches away from her face.

I pull her gently to my arms hugging her before she wraps her arms around me, hugging me tightly.

"I love you." She mutters.

"I love you too." She pulls away, looking into my eyes. A smile creeping to her face then followed by a chuckle. "Who knew I would be the one crying over you getting married again?"

I smile, feeling her hands stroking my beard like she usually likes to do as of late.

Tears starts welling up in her eyes and I cup her cheeks.

"Hey, its going to be alright, okay?" She nods, licking her lips. "Okay." She forces a smile.

"You look good." She tries to change the topic. "Uh-huh...not as good as you though." She bats her eyelashes. "Really?"

"Now that I'm looking at you more, you look gorgeous." I drop my hands on her lap. "You're flattering me." She nudges me softly with her hand, acting shy then erupts into laughter.

She caresses my cheeks, leaning closer before kissing me on the lips. I pulled her closer to me by the waist.

She wraps her arms around my neck as we kissed passionately. I trail my kisses to her neck, leaving hickies then back to her lips.

I slide my hand under her shirt when she pulls away from our kiss. She stands to her feet, holding my hand and leading the way.

I follow her like a tail, admiring her from behind, feeling like the walk to our room is taking forever. I pull her towards me and carried her around my waist. She gasps then chuckles.

"We could've just walked."

"It was taking too long." She grins, cupping my cheeks before kissing me. Her legs wrapped tightly around my waist while I walked to the door. I caress her as I push the door open with my leg, walking into the room.

She helps me take off my shirt after I placed her on the bed lightly. I hover above her kissing and unbuttoning her shirt.

I glance at afeeya who's laying on my chest, sleeping innocently. I gently kiss her on the forehead when my phone starts vibrating. I stretch my arm to the chiffonier, taking it and noticing the caller ID.
