There was one thing he realised. He was getting used to these notes and he looked forward to reading them. It was like a secret messaging service which he was not supposed to read and yet it's forbidden quality gave him a thrill. He was rather eagar that day for the message. But there was none.

The strangest thing was both Tanya and Palash was there in the class when Kiaan entered. Generally Palash and Tanya would be in a banter. Him pulling her leg or genarally chatting. Palash would be invariably standing before her desk. But today it was different. There seemed to be think, palpable tension between them. Tanya looked little subdued and kind of on her back foot and she was giving repeated looks at Palash and him. Palash had a frown. He was not talking. He was looking down at a book open on his desk.

From his peripheral vision Kiaan could see Tanya turn hesitantly to look at him and then she looked at Palash who was sitting just behind him. It seemed he gestured something to her and she nodded and stood up and walked towards him. She stopped before his desk and cleared her throat.

Kiaan looked up at her. Her actually were a little bit like Deepika. Howcome he never noticed it? She looked behind at him most probably at Palash and then then she said, "I found this paper on the floor yesterday," she said extending the note at him.

He looked at the note in her hand and then at her. He did not know how to react.

" I didn't ask anyone to write this to you. Ummmm... I wouldn't have read it but it has my name so I read it."

" You know who wrote this?" Asked Kiaan, " She must be your friend or something. Since she is advocating for you."

She just looked little shocked and then shook her head." I...I I don't know," she said and extended the note," Do you want to take it or not."

Kiaan shrugged and took it as if he was not interested. Though he was.
She turned and was walking away when he asked," Did you show it to anyone?"

" No. Only Palash knows. He saw me picking it up yesterday. "

" I hope I can count on you about keeping this secret."

" I am not a tittle tattle and a gossip monger like you make me out to be. Besides what would I tell that someone wrote a letter asking you to apologise to me as it was not me but ....Am...someone else who spread the gossip about you and Amrita. They will surely think it is me. It would create more trouble for me. I gave back the note because Bobby forced me to return it. Otherwise I would have thrown the note away," she said this and walked out of the class.

Kiaan turned towards Palash. He didn't say anything but looked at him.

Palash did the same. At length Kiaan said, " Are you going to continue being childish and not talk to us?"

Palash did not say anything.

" Talk to Nyaasa at least."

" I am talking to Nyaasa. She DMed twenty messages to me on instagram."

" She did? That sneaky witch," he laughed, " She likes you. You know that, right?"

" Yeah! But I am not gay. There is not a bit of her that could pass off as a girl."

It was true Nyasa was a complete tomboy with her hair cut short and she wore trousers all the time. She played cricket with the boys and behaved like one. There was nothing girly about her. But Nyasa actuly had a very sweet face. But none of the boys noticed that. She being Kiaan's best friend after Druv, he felt bad for her.
