THE relationship didn't bloom up until Eunseo was in her last year of college. Promises and words of reassurance and affections being exchanged throughout the whole three years of being friends, unaware of the bitter future that awaits for the two of them.

The crude words that would be exchanged and the cold atmosphere that would come incomparable to the reputed warmth and love that was supposed to be incorporated into the word love and into their relationship.

But really, is what they have now could still be considered love? When all of the sweet memories during the first few years of their relationship remained buried deep in the background, nothing but a mere memory of how young love was so beautiful but tragic in the end?

Eunseo sighed heavily while she stored the dinner she cooked in the individual Tupperware for her fiance to heat up once he gets home.

It has been like this for the past year; Heeseung coming home late at night while she's already knock out cold on their bed, the dinner she prepared long forgotten and had gotten cold in the dining table from the constant waiting.

The first few weeks that it happened, she suspected that he might have been cheating behind her back as it usually didn't happen, but when it did, Heeseung would always ensure to send her a text or two, sometimes even ringing her phone up when he knew he'll be late to dinner.

However, upon further investigation, it turns out that he was only coming home late at night and in the early mornings due to the promotion in his Father's company that he had to deal with.

Needless to say, all went downhill from that.

Not only did he began to miss all dinner nights, he also began to act indifferent around her. Utilizing his free time in his home office instead of doing some catching up with his fiancee like how he used to.

Was Eunseo so used to being treated like she's the limelight of his attention and love for her to feel awful everytime he prioritizes one thing over her?

He doesn't even ask her how her day would be anymore. A subtle change but one that Eunseo grew to notice as the days passed by.

Smacking the last lid of the container, she placed them inside the fridge one by one before heading straight to their shared room once she was finished.

Eunseo sighed once more as she pulled the duvet over her figure, eyes landing on the empty spot in her left where her fiance usually occupies when he sleeps with a whole arm’s length of space dividing the both of them.

Where did their relationship go wrong?

It was like yesterday when Heeseung got on his knees and asked her to be his other half. Was he growing tired? Of her? Of what they have? Surely if something’s bothering him he'd tell her straightaway like how he usually did before, wouldn't he? But it's been months. Months since Heeseung started acting different around her that reminded Eunseo of her early days when she's all wary of the word love.
