WOULD you want me to pack you lunch?” Eunseo glanced towards her fiance with a small smile, hands all ready to tidy up a nice pack of food for Heeseung to enjoy at work.

However, her smile gradually faded when the male shook his head, eyes fixated on his laptop as he drank his coffee.

“No, I’m having a lunch meeting today with one of my clients. We’re eating out,” Heeseung replied before he began tidying up his things, shutting his laptop close before stuffing it inside his bag as he stood. “I’m leaving now,” Then he was just out of the door, just like that, just like how their mornings would play out for the past year.

Eunseo bit her lower lip, sighing as she poured herself a cup of coffee before sitting down on their dining table all alone.

This is how her morning has been like. Always, just alone and silent.

The incident of Heeseung not coming home the last week has been nothing but another reason to cause a wedge in their relationship.

After asking him about why he didn't tell her anything about staying home at his parent's house that night, the male merely regarded her with a proper response and instead chose to give her the cold shoulder for the remainder of the day as if she's been the one who did something wrong.

Apparently worrying over her fiance was now viewed wrong. Eunseo deduced then that she'd care less starting from then on about matters that concerns him but then again, like every promises she made to herself that she'll be more strong, it was put to the side as well and disregarded like her former vows when her love for him took away her definitive words that she vowed in her head.

Eunseo asked any of his friends if he went to the dinner with any of them only to find out that there was no business dinner, nor were they reminded to attend one.

Again, Eunseo decided to ask Heeseung about it and pried the answers out of him the next day to receive the same treatment with an accompanying accusations that she did not trust him at all.

But truthfully speaking, there wasn't much to trust with regards to the past instances that had taken place for the past year. It was all a blur of bad memories of arguments, cold treatment and wearing relationship that Eunseo kept holding onto.

If in her icy phase and someone told her that she'd be just like the martyrs out there, then she'd probably laugh at their faces because no way in hell would she put herself in a situation that would cause herself to hurt over and over again.

But look at her now, shoulders slumped with stress and bags in the underneath of her eyes as an obvious giveaway for her failing love with the first guy to win over her cold heart and yet she's still holding onto the love that she had for him.

And now, the pin starts spinning once again, and they're all back to square one.
