MANY scenarios ran through Eunseo’s head.
Different reasons varied inside her mind of what might the cause, the trigger on Heeseung’s sudden change but she didn't thoroughly consider that the male would cheat on her.
Heeseung knew her abhorrence towards the matter, because it reminded her of the bitter feeling of finding out that her Father easily replaced them for another woman. Because he knew all too well that it triggered the change in Eunseo and her view about love before they were even together.
Eunseo knew there was something is up.
She just didn't immediately accepted that the possibility of him cheating was going to ever happen.
Because she knows that Heeseung knew it was her last straw.
The last thread to keep her from walking away from their failing relationship, their falling engagement.
The waiter that the lady in the front desk called over to assist her guided Eunseo through tables and tables.
The restaurant was filled with business person, classy and obviously very rich to be spending their dime in a grandiose restaurant for a simple dinner. She ignored them all however.
Her focus was fixated on the glass windows that showed the city life beneath and the patio tables that weren't fully filled, only six couples sitting down in each table, occupied by either their foods or the person sitting right in front of them.
And unfortunately, Heeseung was in fact seated in one of the tables.
And a woman whom Eunseo wasn't familiar with was sat right in of him as the two of them talked.
Despite the heavy pull in her chest and the tears that lingered in the corner of her eyes, Eunseo was hoping that it was only a simple dinner over business matters. That Heeseung wasn't dining in with a different woman because of his piqued interest.
But that hope soon fell down the drain seeing the unfamiliar woman lean down towards her fiancee with a gentle smile before pecking the male on his lips.
Eunseo knew she had seen enough.
She decided that she's had enough and only a fool would continue to stay in a relationship only bound to her.
Bitter and hurt, she took her phone out before snapping a single photo of her fiancee’s nice, little, fancy dinner before harshly wiping the tears that started falling from her cheeks.
From the corner of her eye, she could see the server standing still with shocked expression.
Eunseo faced him, grabbing a few bills from her bag before handing it over to the man with a shaky smile.
“Here, thank you for your assistance but please do keep my visit a secret my from husband.” The man looked back in forth between her and the stash of money in her hand.
“Ma'am I can't accept this—”
Ignoring the server's words, Eunseo took his hands and placed the bills on his palm before turning around to leave the damned place.
As she sat on her car, forehead touching the steering wheel and heaving in deep breaths as she cried, Eunseo thought of all the things that she went through with Heeseung so far.
Their relationship, their love was so beautiful. Where did she go wrong? What went wrong in their relationship for Heeseung to choose a resort of cheating behind her back? Was she not enough? Was her love not enough?
“But sometimes love isn't just enough Eun. And sometimes, love doesn't end the way we want them to. Love doesn't always end in happily ever after but maybe you'll have that, just probably not with Heeseung.”
Leaning back on her seat, shoulders visibly shaking and muffled sobs leaving her lips, Eunseo had decided.
And she will no longer wait for another more day just to hurt herself even more from the devastating fact that although her love for him was still there, blossoming with hope that everything will be fixed, with the current happenings and the slapping fact that Heeseung had obviously had enough of their love, she'll set him free.
Eunseo will set the both of them free.
