EUNSEO woke up with a start, a choked gasp leaving her lips as her palm automatically clasped over her chest where her heart was; erratically beating from the dream she just had.
Like an automatic response, her head snapped towards the other side of the bed where her husband usually sleeps.
And her heart dropped seeing it empty and neatly fixed.
Anxious, she leaped out of the bed before forcefully yanking the bedroom door open, only to almost smack herself over someone's chest.
“Woah woah-! What's happening in here?” Heeseung worriedly asked, balancing the breakfast tray in his grasp before pulling his shaking wife into his chest. Then he asked again.
“Babe what's wrong?”
Heeseung carefully walks over to the bed side table with his wife still clinging onto him for dear life. She was shaking terribly and muffling her sobs in his chest and Heeseung was starting to grow even more worried.
“Eun, what's wrong? Did something happen?” He placed the tray on the bedside table. “Hey, talk to me please...”
Getting himself situated on the bed, Heeseung gently tugged on Eunseo’s arm to have her sitting in front of him, in between his legs as he tried to hush her down.
Heeseung continued to rub her back as she sobbed on his chest, wetting his white pajamas shirt with her tears but Heeseung doesn't complain.
The male waited for a few more minutes before her sobs reduced to silent sniffles, reaching out a hand to raise Eunseo’s head by her chin. He gently cupped her cheeks before wiping away the tears on her skin.
“Baby can you tell me what's wrong? Why are you cryingㅡ?”
“You’re not cheating on me right?” Eunseo grabbed his hands, nervously fiddling with it as Heeseung gaped at her, shocked. Then she shook her head, furiously scoffing at herself. “I’m an idiot, I know. You wouldn't do it but I can't help but to feel like what happened in my dream is true, it felt so true and I'm just upset, and sad and worried and sad... I just—I don't know.”
Eunseo sniffled, pursing her lips in desperate attempt to keep new batch of fresh tears from falling on her cheeks.
But then Heeseung squished her cheeks together, peering at her through his lashed before he spoke.
“Eun, I don't know what exactly happened in your dream but baby, I'll have you know that I would never cheat on you. I would never even consider or thought of doing it.” He kissed her forehead, gently running his fingers through her hair. “I would be a complete fool to hurt you and I wouldn't break the promises I made because I want to do them all with you. You're my everything and I would never even think of letting you go for the sake of finding some new other girl when I have the most amazing person betrothed to me. I love you Eun, and it will always be you.”
Though instead of ceasing her cries, Eunseo’s eyes was flooded yet again with tears that rolled down her cheeks, small sobs leaving her lips from the sudden monologue coming from her husband.
It felt like their wedding day again, when the both of them were saying their vows to one another.
“No, no, I didn't mean to make you cry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.” Heeseung gently rocked their body side to side, almost chuckling to himself from how adorable his wife was being. “You need to stop crying now and eat. The food will get cold if you don't.”
Eunseo absentmindedly nodded her head before pushing her face off of Heeseung’s neck and wiping away her tears.
“Are you okay now?”
She nodded her head once more.
Heeseung softly laughed before taking the tray from the bedside table, but before he could even place it properly as to not drop any food on the bed, two arms encircling on his waist kept him from doing so.
“I love you Hee.” Eunseo earnestly said, arms tightening across Heeseung’s waist.
The latter smiled, kissing the top of her head. “I love you more, my wife.”
