THE printed photo in her hands was a bitter reminder of how her love for Heeseung ended. It constantly reminded her altogether with what she witnessed that love was indeed a nasty, bitter feeling once dealt badly.

Eunseo could no longer take it anymore.

Seated on her bed, all of her clothes were packed including her own files that she brought to their new home.

All of the things that Heeseung gave her was placed inside her own closet together with her luggage.

Just for the sake of her routine, she also cooked an extra meal for Heeseung that she placed in the Tupperware containers inside the fridge, alongside a note on the refrigerator’s door for him to heat it up once he feels hungry.

But Eunseo knew he wouldn't feel an tinge of hunger. He did dine in in a beautiful, expensive restaurant with his new love interest after all.

Now when was the last time Heeseung did something special for her like that? Eunseo’s mind couldn't exactly remember.

Placing the printed picture inside the envelope, she hid it underneath her pillow, sighing as she roamed her eyes all over the room that she has been so accustomed to seeing for the last two years and a half.

And all of a sudden, she was gonna leave all of this behind.

Eunseo had also gotten her passport, visa and plane ticker ready. She was gonna leave South Korea for good measures of healing. She knew she couldn't do that with the constant reminder of the places she used to go to with Heeseung. Her memories with him, though has been tainted, was a huge part of her life and growth.

And although she wouldn't say it now, she owes Heeseung a lot for helping her coming out of her shell.

Too bad he was also the same reason now as to why she's hurting.

Eunseo, seated on her side of the bed waited for fiancee to finally come home. Back from his lovely dinner date that he masked as a night out with his friends.

An hour and a half later, the sound of Heeseung’s car engine parked in front of the house, its headlights flashing from the windows before it finally stopped.

Then she heard the car doors being slammed close. Then the front door of the house being opened and Heeseung’s footsteps echoing from the stairs.

All through the waiting, Eunseo didn't bother to move, only doing so when his car finally arrived. Surprisingly, she did not feel stiff nor does her muscles ache.

Maybe because she was already in so much mental pain for her to grow numb with the physical pain?

The door to their shared room opened before Heeseung went inside, taking his watch off of his wrist and placing it on the dressing table by the corner of the room, aware of Eunseo’s presence and her serene observation over him.

Then the woman spoke.

“How was your night?”

“Good.” Heeseung replied with his back facing her, still in the process of taking off his other accessories. He met her eyes through the mirror, brows furrowing seeing her reddened eyes, cheeks and nose. Though he did not question.

Eunseo thinly smiled. “How are the boys?”

“Good.” Came his blunt and blank response again.

Heeseung left the dressing table and began walking towards his closet, with his fingers starting to unbutton his black dress shirt on the top, popping two buttons loose and leaving it like that before he browsed through his clothes.

“I called Sunoo a while ago.” Heeseung visibly stiffed, and Eunseo simply smiled. Her eyes left Heeseung’s back, landing on the beige ground of the room. Then she raised her head, to observe her fiancee’s next body reaction. “He told me that he wasn't in the night out with you because he was in a business trip with Jungwon and Jay. Sunghoon had a family dinner and Ni-ki went back in Japan. Jake on the other hand is occupied with his work promotions because I talked to him a day ago. Jake's not even in Korea.”

Eunseo gulped, feeling fresh new tears lining her under eye. “Now tell me Hee...”

Heeseung felt his heart clenching hearing the nickname she used to call him.

Back when everything was okay.

Back when he hadn't changed.

“Who were you out with?”
