Chapter Thirteen

Rydel's POV

He walked with her, hand in hand in and around the hallways of the church. She had no idea where they were going.

"It's a surprise" he kept telling her, "Just wait and see!"

So she waited, and waited, until she finally saw him. And then she cried.

He was wearing a suit and tie, and a black bandana covering his head.

Her Dad.

"Look at you" he smiled at her, holding his arms out. She ran right into them.

"You look like a princess" he whispered into her ear, "The most beautiful girl I have ever seen."

She felt his tears on her bare shoulders. She didn't know how much she missed his hugs until she was holding him.

"I'm so happy you're here" she said to him, wiping a tear away from his cheek.

"And miss this? sweetheart, I wouldn't miss your big day. I only get one chance to walk you down the aisle, and Im going to do it right!"

Her heart broke for him. Even after only a few weeks of chemotherapy, he looked exhausted. There were bags under his eyes, and his skin had turned a shade of yellow she had never seen before. But he still looked like the strong man she had idolized as a kid. The same man she would love no mater what.

"Don't cry for me Delly" he smiled, taking her hands in his. "Im doing good. I have to get better so that I can come home to see my grand baby! How is my little one?"

She smiled at the thought of her daughter. "She's doing amazing Dad, and Im sure she's just as happy to see you again!"

"Well she better be, Grandpa has some new silly faces to share with her." he winked, and then cracked a smile of his own.

"We have to get to the chapel" Riker said behind them, "Fifteen minutes until show time!"

She felt the butterflies start up in her stomach for the tenth time that day. Fifteen minutes until she got to marry her best friend.

"After you my princess" her dad held out his hand, which she happily took.

Together they walked towards the chapel where, in a half hour, she would become Mrs. Ellington Ratliff.

And for her final minutes of being a Lynch, she couldn't be happier.

This is really bad I know, but next comes the wedding! About four (maybe!) more chapters, and then this book will be history!!

QOTD: I have thought up two different endings for this book. One will just end with the new couple on their way home after their wedding, the second will end with a bit of a shock. I want to know, which would you all prefer? Both scenarios will happen in the series, but I don't know what to end this book off with! Let me know your thoughts!!

I love you all more than anything!!
