Chapter 5

"Oh hey, we gotta get going, see you later Jake." Jay said and dragged Sunghoon away with him, "Bye Jake!"

"That was weird.." Jake mumbled, "Anyway, Heeseung hyung, shall we continue?... Heeseung hyung?" Jake asked, The male was looking down at his necklace, "Hyung?" Jake called out once again, "Oh sorry! I got distracted, shall we continue?" Heeseung said with a smile, "Oh that's fine, of course, let's go."

"what was all that about?" Sunghoon asked, "what was what?"

"all that, you stared at the new student and panicked left!" Sunghoon told him, "No reason, fuck off. Now go flirt with Mr. Nishimura." Jay said and pointed to the male, who was talking amongst his 2 friends, Sunoo and Jungwon.

"Jay! no, I won't. I don't even know how to flirt." Sunghoon mumbled, the group of 3, particularly Sunoo, looked over at Jay and Sunghoon, pointed at them, and whispered to his friends.

Ni-ki looked over at the two and smiled, he responded to Sunoo with a laugh, "Oh god, this is so embarrassing." Sunghoon said and hid behind Jay, "Bitch stop hiding behind me as if you're not a couple of centimeters taller than me." Jay told the latter. "shut up, I'm hiding from embarrassment."

The group of 3 walked towards the two, "Goodmorning Jay hyung and Sunghoon hyung." Jungwong greeted. Yang Jungwon, Jay's neighbor. They're close friends but not that close. "good morning to you too, Wonie." Jay greeted.

"Good morning Sunghoon hyung." Sunoo greeted him, "Uh... good morning..?"

"Could we have a word with you, Jay hyung?" Sunoo asked with a slight smirk, Jay raised his eyebrows and smiled, understanding what Sunoo was doing. "Of course, wait here with Ni-ki. We'll be back." Jay said and followed the two. "J-Jay! Bitch, come back- Ah fuck."

"um, I have somewhere to gay-I MEAN GO... fuck, sorry, anyway, see you later." Sunghoon lied and was about to leave, "But Hyung?" Sunghoon was stopped in his tracks by someone pulling his wrist.

"That's kind of rude to leave me alone, isn't it? How about we talk for a while near my locker? We still have 30 minutes before classes start." Ni-ki suggested, "Hyung?"

"Okay"

Ni-ki smiled and grabbed his hand, dragging Sunghoon to his locker.

Ni-ki looked at Sunghoon to see the male's face was red and he was biting his lip. Is he trying to hide his smile? he thought. Hoonie hyung is so cute.

"if you two are gonna confess, or some shit, hurry up. No one likes to watch the gay drama in school." a student told them, "Okay dude, no need to get mad that I'm at least getting a lover but you're not, with that personality, you're not pulling anyone." Ni-ki replied, "Fuck off, I have 2 ex-girlfriends." The guy replied.

"Yeah, you're right. They're your ex-girlfriends for a reason. Me liking a boy is none of your business, you can go to class now. You already got my attention." Ni-ki replied and then looked at Sunghoon, "So... um... Ni-ki, you have a face." Sunghoon mumbled, Ni-ki looked amused and laughed, "yes, I do. "

"No, I mean like, You have a nice face." Sunghoon said, "Thank you..?" Ni-ki answered, "fuck it, I can't flirt for fuck's sake, Ni-ki. I'm trying." Sunghoon told him, "Ah hyung, that's so cute." Ni-ki said and chuckled.

"Finally, you decided to make a move, or else I was going to, I waited 2 whole years for you to make a move." Ni-ki smiled, "wait what-" Ni-ki nodded, "I knew you had a crush on me, but damn, I always waited for you to make the first move, Jeez, if I knew you were that shy, I would've made the first move to make you less overwhelmed."

"Was I that obvious?" Sunghoon asked, "very."

"Anyway, give me your phone." Ni-ki asked, Sunghoon wasn't sure why he asked for it but gave it to the younger anyways. "There, I saved my number on your phone, see you later Hoonie Hyung," Ni-ki said and kissed Sunghoon's cheek and left.

Jay walked over with a huge smile, "So, what happened?" Jay asked, "Oh fuck off dude, you saw everything." Sunghoon replied, "Yeah sure, what happened?" "I got his number."

"fuck yeah, just about time. Now let's get to class."

"And here's the cafeteria, do you want to sit with me and my friends?" Jake asked, "Um, no thank you. I'll sit alone." Heeseung answered, "Oh, why not?"

"I don't want to be a bother, and plus, I like being alone."

"Hyung, you're not a bother, don't worry." Jake smiled at him, If only he knew. Heeseung thought, "It's fine, I'll sit alone. Go to your friends" Heeseung said and left Jake alone

Jake just watched as Heeseung left, Um okay I guess...

"Math sucks, Life sucks, Why must I be born" Sunghoon whined, "You're such a big baby, Sunghoon-ah." Hyejin said and let out a soft chuckle, "Tell me about it, He's always so whiny. I feel bad for Ni-ki." Jay said, "Hey! I'm your cousin, Jay!"

"Mhm, and still my best friend. I have all the rights to annoy you." Jay told him and smiled, "You better shut the fuck up before I talk in hashtag language, you fucker."Sunghoon told him, "Boys, stop fighting. You'll waste time with fighting instead of eating." "Yes, Ma'am."

"They're fighting again?" Jake asked Hyejin, "Everyday bickers, Just a family thing between these two." Hyejin responded, "Cousin love, how cute." Jake cooed, "Jake, my bro, my soulmate, shut up before I sock you in the face." Sunghoon said with an innocent smile, "Lord spare me with these idiots." Hyejin mumbled.

"You still love and take care of us tho, Hyejin-ssi." Jake smiled, "of course I have to, or else who would take care of you, 3 idiots?" "rude."

"Besides Joke, of course, you guys are the best friends I have."

"Now eat, before I sock you in the face." she told all three of them, "yes, ma'am."

Heeseung sat from afar watching all of them talk to each other, I can't believe I really ran into him after 3 whole years... Heeseung thought, Looks like he moved on just fine... That's good...I guess.

"You're the new kid, right?" a student asked, "Oh, yeah..?"

"Nice to meet you, Kim Yeeun." She said, "lee Heeseung." "I noticed you've been staring at Hyejin's table, specifically one boy." Yeeun said, "I-I Didn't mean to..."

"It's fine, no worries. I just want you to be careful around them, specifically one person." Yeeun said, She told Heeseung about the person, but not the name. "But who's the person you're talking about?" Heeseung asked.

"That, my friend, is for you to find out yourself." Yeeun smiled, "And you're sitting in my place, might as well as be friends."

Heeseung just nodded, "Everyone needs a friend right?" Yeeun asked, "I don't think so."

"Of course not, after what happened." Yeeun said, "what?" "I'm Yeeun, from your old school. The quiet girl that no one talks to." Heeseung's eyes widened, "The Kim Yeeun?" "Bingo!"

"You look so... different!" Heeseung said, "Of course, puberty's finest work."

"And puberty hits different because I'm lesbian." Yeeun shrugged, "This school isn't as homophobic as our old one, a lot of people are either supportive or homosexuals themself. But there are still some homophobic people. You still gotta be careful."

"Being at a supportive school hits different, you don't have to be scared for being yourself. the random ass quotes in the hallways are nice too." Yeeun really changed a lot, she used to be so quiet in class. "Heeseung, are you even listening?" she asked.

"Oh, yeah, I am. I'm just surprised at how much you've changed." Heeseung replied, "Mhm, quiet girl Yeeun is gone. I like this me, I'm not scared to speak up for myself anymore." She smiled, "That's great."

"Now eat before lunch ends, I'm not dealing with your whining later like how you used to do back then." Yeeun said, Heeseung's face looked a bit upset after she said that, "Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot the past isn't the best."

"Let's move on from the past, hm? Past is past, nothing will happen if you hold onto it. enjoy the present while it lasts, that means eat your food before I drag you to class." Heeseung lets out a soft chuckle, "Roger that, Miss. Yeeun." "Oh fuck off, Lee."

Maybe this year wouldn't be as bad as Heeseung thought.
