After a week where Hongjoong and Seonghwa constantly hung out, it would be after work hours at Hongjoong's house or somewhere fun like a theme park or just the park itself. Hongjoong was enjoying his time with Seonghwa, loving every moment. Hongjoong felt bad for crushing on the older after just meeting him, but now that they've gotten closer, he felt ok with it. It felt more reasonable now.
Although Hongjoong would sometimes question why they could never go home to Seonghwa's place. Maybe his house was dirty whenever he had suggested it? or maybe it just wasn't big enough for hangouts, which Hongjoong was fine with anyways. It had been one week since they started hanging out more and had gotten closer, both if them loved the time they spent together and would often mention how it's fun.
Although when the second week came around, Hongjoong was confused everytime Seonghwa would excuse himself from their hangouts not even an hour into it or not even show up at all. Hongjoong didn't think much of it first but after several times of waiting in the sun, rain and every whether possible, although not snow. He was tired if waiting and sad.
Did he get tired of me? Hongjoong thought, although he shook it off, not wanting to think like that since he knew Seonghwa wouldn't lie to him. Although he was second guessing a lot, he tried to shake it off as much as possible, but he knew he couldn't escape the feelings and the thoughts that easily. Suddenly his phone rang as he looked at the caller-id, it was Yunho.
He picked up, not wanting to let his friend wait too long.
"Hello?"
"Hey Hongjoong! I was wondering if you are free, so you could come over for dinner? Mingi's cooking delicious food!" Yunho asked through the phone.
At least someone wanted to hang out with him— No, stop it.
"Yeah, sure. When should I arrive?"
"Whenever you want, you could come now if you want so we could hang out for a bit?"
Hang out...
"Yeah sure, I'll be there in ten"
"Great, I'll see you soon!"
After that the call ended. Hongjoong sat down his phone and stared at it, the reason hongjoong was close to ten minutes from Yunho's home was because he was currently in the park where he was waiting for someone to show up. He realized it was already three hours since they were supposed to meet, so with a sigh, he got up and left.
The walk there was quite entertaining, he ran into a few people he knew and even got to say hi to their children, congratulating them and so on. Hongjoong loved children and someday he wished to have his own, just had to be through adoption but that didn't matter to him, he still considered adopted children his own and maybe one day, with the right and perfect boyfriend, he could finally adopt.
He smiled to himself as he pictured a happy family, it was cute. After around ten minutes he finally arrived at Yunho and Mingi's place, he put on a smile as he rang the doorbell, not even a second after the door flew open and he was embraced by Yunho.
"Hongjoong hyung!"
"Hey Yunho, how are you?" Hongjoong asked as he was guided inside to sit down.
"I'm good, by the way I forgot to say over the phone, Wooyoung and San are joining us as well!" Yunho smiled at the older
"That's fine, I don't mind."
Not long after a conversation broke out between the two as they talked about whatever was on their mind. Although Hongjoong ignored talking about one specific thing that was still on his mind, he chose to shake it off and just focus on whatever Yunho was talking about in the moment.
