18. BOLD LIGHT

I was now wrapped in Light's arm as he made circles on my back yo make me feel better. He had always done that every time he thought I was upset or angry. If worked too.
"Light you can let go now. I'm fine I'm not upset or angry don't worry." I whispered seeing as we were in a library.

There was no response.

" Light?" I sounded softly. I was met with silence again.
I let go of him and looked up to see his eye lids closed and heard soft snoring noises.

'It seems he'd fallen asleep. I wonder how long I was in his arms for. He couldn't have fallen asleep in just a few seconds.Whatever I'll let him sleep for now. He did look pretty tired too.'

I stayed quiet and studied for about an hour before he woke up to see his head placed on my lap.

"Ahh!" He shrieked as realisation hit him.

"Shhhhh." I said feeling the unpleasant stares of the other people there.

He shut up obediently and sat up but after hesitating a little he put his head on my shoulder and started reading his schoolwork.

'He's been pretty bold with expressing his feelings these days.' Yes I knew Light had feelings for me and why wouldn't I. He wasn't as open as he's being now but he still gave small blushes at times. I did have a denial point where I kept on denying the thought of him liking me. But it didn't last long. The only reason our relationship hasn't gotten awkward after me finding out is because I avoided acting any different from I normally would, which was not showing any emotion that might give it away.

"Good morning Light." I said as he rubbed his eyes and became comfortable on my shoulder.

"You're bold these days." I said but not moving a single muscle in case he becomes uncomfortable.

"No, not really. Just a bit more confident."

"Well, Light I gotta go. It's late." I got up from my seat and started packing up.

"Really what time is it?" He asked and I just showed him my watch.

"3:45?! Oh shit!! I'm dead. Mum will go crazy!" I giggled a little seeing him panic.

"Well Light I'm leaving bye." I waved to him and started to leave.

When I got outside my phone started to ring.

*Ring* *Ring*

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey where are you?"

"At the library. Why?

"We've got cameras up so let's start our plan."

"You better not pull any other stunt cause you'll end up dead before you know it."
I was now at a cafe. I was met with the refreshing smell of a lot of sweets which automatically reminded of a certain panda. Straight away without thinking I got in while talking to L and bought a whole strawberry cake and some doughnuts for me.

Soon enough I got back to the hotel I was currently staying at.

"Ryu." I said as he just stared at the T.V. Not caring the tiniest about even glancing at me.

"Yes Kari."

"Never mind." I was not satisfied by the fact that he didn't even bother to look at me.

"Ok."

'This guy. Fine I'll eat the cake instead. Hmph!' I got a slice of cake and sat down next to L. I'm sure he could smell the cake and that's exactly what I wanted.

As soon as he caught hold of the smell, he snapped his head in my direction.

"Is that strawberry cake?"

"Sure is."

"May I have some?"

"I wonder."

"Please~" He added a small purr in his voice making me gulp at his voice.

He moved closer to me. The closer he got the more I moved my head back. I could feel the heat rise up to my face. It ended with me snapping my head to the T.V. but due to our faces being too close our lips grazed against each other a little. The only light in the room came from the TV so my tomato...sorry my red ass face wasn't visible and I'm grateful for that. The T.V showed Light entering his house.

"Tadaima. (I'm home.)" He said and walked to the stairs. He moved to his door. I saw his eyes widen a little and a simple little "Huh?" Could be heard as his eyes gazed at the door knob, but I highly doubt that anyone else caught that since it was only there for a few milliseconds. He opened the door as a small white piece of paper slipped out. He walked into the room and lied down for a few seconds before getting up and going into his bathroom and putting on a jacket after taking his blazer off. He went back to his door and slid down and placed the piece of paper back into the gap between the door and the frame.

"C-couldn't be....I never knew he went to those lengths..." Soichiro trailed off seeing his son's suspicious actions.

"Wow, I wonder just what he has in his room that he has to hide." I completed Soichiro, amazed by what lengths he was willing to go to keep people out of his room. I took a bite of the cake.

'Mmmphhhhh, soooooo goooooood.'

"If you keep in mind he's only 17, there's nothing suspicious about his behaviour. I also did that for no apparent reason."

"PFTTTTTTTTTTTTTT." I spat out the cake I had all over the table.
