Maddie's P.O.V.

As soon as I make it back into town I go back to the apartment.

I run inside, looking at Michael and Everest on the couch. They both jump to their feet, surprised that i'm actually here. I'm sure I look like a total mess. I haven't showered in days and I've been crying almost the whole way here.

"Where's Luke??"

"Um he said he was going to a bar. He needed to drink."

"Michael, I need your car." I hold out my hand for the keys. Luke and alcohol are never a good mix. Michael nods quickly and tosses me the keys.

"If he comes home before I find him, tell him to call me." And with that, I'm gone. Out the door and to Michaels car.

Theres three bars near here.. Where would he have gone?

I pull out my phone and try calling him. No answer. So I try again. Still nothing.

I sigh loudly and grip the steering wheel tightly. No one else is driving on the road except for a car in the distance.

As I get closer to the car, it seems like it's swerving. What the hell? I dial Luke's number again and hold the phone up to my ear. The car is getting closer and it's making me a bit nervous.

I'll just turn at the next street?

My plan is ruined when the car speeds up and swerves right into me, the cars colliding with an awufl screech of tires and the loud crashing of the metal.

My scream is cut short when my head hits the car window, smashing the glass just like the picture frame of Luke and I.

I can't move my legs, they're crushed in between the metal of the car door and the steering wheel. I feel my head throbing and my vision is blurry.

I look over at the car that hit me. The car looks familiar, but it's bascially wrapped around a large tree so I can't tell. I really hope the driver is okay..

I look back out the broken windsheild and see a few people.

I try yelling for them to call an abulance but nothing is coming out. Someone runs up to the window.

"Miss? Are you okay?" I barely nod and look over at him. "I.. Luke.." I mumble before loosing conciousness.

Ashton's P.O.V.

"Ash.. Wake up." Hayden shakes me awake, leaning over me. "Hm? What is it?" I reply tiredly, rolling over.

"Ashton, get up. It's Maddie."

I sit up instantly, "What? Is she back?" Hayden shakes her head and pulls a shirt over her bare chest. "Well, kind of. But she's in the hospital. So is Luke."

My heart stops in my chest, making me freeze. "Why? What happened?" I ask as I get up, quickly getting dressed.

"They won't say. I already called the others. They'll meet us at the hospital."

Ten minutes later I run into the emergency room, going to the desk. "Maddie. Maddie Harrison. Is she here?" The woman looks up at me, "Listen, kid, there's a line." She points to the few people behind me.

"No! This is important. Where is M-Maddie Harrison?" I stumble over her name, looking at the woman with pleading eyes. She must have seen how desparate I am because the door beside us buzzes and opens.

"Go through there and take a left. A few others came in a couple minutes ago for a Maddie and Luke." She tells me as I pull Hayden through the door.

I see Calum and Michael first. "Cal! What happened?" I run to them and grip his shirt. "Woah, Ashton. We don't know yet. The doctor is supposed to talk to us." He tells me and looks behind him at the chairs along the wall where Everest and Jemima sit.

I gesture for Hayden to sit down and she nods, sitting by the girls. Ashton sits on the floor in front of Everest, leaning against her legs.

"Are you here for Maddie Harrison and Luke Hemmings?" A tall man wearing a white lab coat looking thing. I turn to him and nod quickly. "Yes, are they alright? What happened?"

"Well it seems that Luke has a high level of alcohol in his blood. He was drinking and the went driving. Which isn't a good idea, as you know. Anyways, he swerved into a car, which happened to be the car that Maddie was in and after he hit her, the car was moving too fast to stop that it then collided with a tree." The doctor explains.

"Mr. Hemmings is in critical condition. He's under an anisteic right now. We might have to preform a surgery if his lungs can't work correctly. We don't know if he will make it or not."

"What about Maddie?" I ask with tears in my eyes.

"Maddie's left leg is broken in three places and she has two broken ribs and a bad concussion. But other than that, she should be good to go in a couple of weeks, maybe even days."

"Can we see them?"

"You can visit Maddie, only two at a time though, but give Luke some time. He isn't awake right now." I nod and look at Hayden. "Let's go."

I take her hand and follow the doctor to Maddie's room. Hayden thanks him as we enter the small, white room.

I've always hated hospitals. They're so clean and white and full of sick and sad people.

Maddie lays on the bed in a blue hospital gown, the blanket over one leg and the other leg lifted in the air for support.

A white bandage is wrapped around her head and she has a black eye and a busted lip. "Hey Mads.." I sit on the chair by her bed. "Ash.. Hayden.. Hi." She smiles weakly. rubbing her arm.

"How are you feeling?" Hayden asks.

Maddie just shrugs and looks away. "Is the other driver okay?" She questions, looking at me. "Did Luke ever come home?"

I bite my lip and look at Hayden for a second before looking back at Maddie. "Um.. That's the thing, Mads.. Luke.. He was the other driver."
