Seoul, South Korea"[I... like you, Hyung.]"
Those words were repeated in Chan's head. He never expected to receive those words from the other boy, but what shocked him even more was his fast-beating heart and the warm feeling that was travelling inside his body.
Well, he has to admit that throughout their short time speaking with each other, Chan had already grown a liking for the other boy. However, he never thought of anything else from the boy because being with the boy was the most impossible thing ever in his life. In fact, he's still not sure if Felix was a good idea, if Felix was really true, or if he was just Chan's illusion. Everything about the boy from 1968 remains a mystery to Chan, and he occasionally feels delusional for believing in the mysterious boy.
"You what?" Chan hesitantly asked the younger boy. He wanted to be sure if he heard that right or if he was just imagining things.
"[I like you, Hyung. I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable, but you're just really d-different that I can't stop myself from liking y-you.]" Now, Chan literally dropped his jaw hearing what the younger told him. Saying that he felt nothing about the confession would be a big lie because something in his insides is already partying that he felt stupid about it already. He likes Felix too, but considering the real situation, everything is impossible.
Chan was silent, which made the younger feel anxious. The older just can't process a single word to utter, he opened his mouth but ended up closing it again. He can't deny the fact that he wanted the boy more than just a friend. Impossible, indeed, but can't he be selfish for once?
"[I'm sorry Hyung... Maybe I should end the ca—]"
"I like you a lot too," Chan cut the younger boy. Call him crazy, call him delusional, Felix gives him some sort of overwhelming feeling every time. The boy is sweet, he is lovely in any way possible, and Chan loved every adorable trait the boy possessed. His pure cheerful personality brings colour to Chan's dull life. Everything about the boy, he loved them all.
"[D-do you mean that, Hyung?]" The younger boy nervously asked. His mind clouded with anxiety. He never experienced this before, he never confessed to someone before and he never expected someone to reciprocate their feelings for him, he never imagined being in this position but he's happy yet scared.
He's happy that Chan didn't react the bad way but he's scared that Chan is just trying to make him feel at ease but none of this is true.
"Yes, I truly like you. You don't know how it feels every time you talk to me, every time you call. I wait for you every night, Felix. I feel delusional, I feel sick that this is the only way we can communicate but that doesn't stop me from liking you. You're different, you're special, Felix, you truly are," Chan answered.
Both lines were silent, both overwhelmed by each other's confession, and both feeling in between happy and sad. Why does it have to be like this way?
Why do they have to be so close yet so far?
That's when soft sobs start filling the quiet line that Chan didn't fail to notice, Felix is crying.
"Why, Felix?" The older man worriedly asked.
"[Nothing, I just feel really happy because I really like you and knowing that you feel the same way overwhelms me. I never imagined myself being liked by another man, the way I like him.]" Felix answered, making Chan sigh.
"You deserve everything Felix. You are a kind person, sweet, lovable, and you're also very handsome. What makes you think that no man would want you? You're perfect," Chan said.
