November 1968
Seoul, South Korea

Felix fixes the hood covering his head, making sure that his face is completely hidden as he walks to the unfamiliar way, too far from his home.

He looked around the unfamiliar place, continuing his steps until he reached a fairly big farming land with a small house not so far from him. He made sure that no one was looking before running to the house and knocking on the door.

He waited for a minute until the door opened revealing an old man standing in shock as he looked at him, "Young master?" The man confusedly greeted.

Felix bowed politely before greeting the old man back, "Good afternoon, Mr Han. I apologise for coming without leaving a notice beforehand, I'm afraid you might not want to see me after what happened in the mansion a couple of weeks ago." The older man shook his head, he looked around if there was anybody near the area before asking the younger male to enter his home.

Once they are inside, he lets the younger sit on a couch in their living room, "what brings you here, young master? Did General Lee know?" He worriedly asked, making Felix shyly shake his head.

"No, I only sneaked out secretly. No one knows I was out," he answered while looking down at his fidgeting fingers. There was silence, none of them knew what to say. Felix was too shy to talk after what his father did to their family while Mr Han is just simply not pleased to see the younger. It's not like he hated him, it's just too dangerous for his family once Felix is seen with them.

The silence was cut when Jisung suddenly came in— dirt all over his body and his bruises were still visible on his face and arms— he looked at Felix in shock and walked closer to him, "Felix! Are you out of your mind? Why are you here?" He whisper-shouted, too anxious to see his friend inside their home.

Felix stood up to face Jisung. He lifted his hands to his friend's face and started scanning his body to see his bruises more, "oh my god," he whispered after seeing his friend's current state, "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry," Felix added then started tearing up, making Jisung worry.

"Hey don't cry, it wasn't your fault I was careless. Besides, these are not from your father anymore, they already healed." Jisung said while gently patting the other boy's shoulder.

"Where did you get these new scars?" Felix asked. Jisung looked away from his friend, making the freckled boy confused, "Jisung?" He worriedly called out.

"Let's go somewhere to talk," Jisung whispered before holding his friend's wrist. Jisung faced his father then bowed at him respectfully, "We'll just talk, abeoji." He said before tagging Felix to the other door of their home.

"Jisung," his father called out even before the younger boys could leave the place.

"Yes, abeoji?" Jisung answered, looking straight at his now worried father.

"Be careful. Young master should not be seen here or the general will be even madder at us." Jisung nodded his head to assure his father, "Yes, abeoji." He assured before leaving his father inside their home.

Felix and Jisung walked out from the backdoor, they went a bit far from the house and entered a small wooden house, "welcome to my hideout?" Felix chuckled to his friend, "hideout?"

"Yes, my father made this for me to hide whenever some rude ass looks for me," Jisung answered, entering his small home and making Felix sit in his small bed, "I'm sorry, this is the only thing I have here," he added.

Felix shook his head and smiled at his friend before sitting on the bed next to Jisung, "No worries, your mattress feels comfortable."

Jisung only looked at him in silence, they stared at each other for a moment until Jisung decided to cut the silence, "Why are you here? It's very dangerous not just for me but also for you once someone sees you with me, Felix."
