Chapter 7

Varian's POV
That was intense.

"That ass had it coming. I mean come on,didn't it occur to him that there might be a reason why you didn't acknowledge his daughter ", Aries said still shaking from the thrill of the fight he had.

I blocked him out as I headed towards the mansion. What a great way to meet your host. Beating him to a pulp in his own house. Great!

Being deep in thought,I didn't see the girl in front of me till it was too late.

I let out an oomph as I fell right on top of her.

"I'm so sorry ma'am,I didn't know you were there", i said, lending her my hand as I pulled her to her feet.

"You should be" ,she said with power oozing from her voice

" I'm Victoria and I'm guessing you're my trainee", she continued with a sneer on her face.

"Um yeah",I reply taken aback by her hostile reception.

"Let me at her Varian,I'll show her that the sky is green", Aries growled obviously not liking the disrespect she was showing us.

Poor guy didn't even know the colour of the sky.

"It's blue you dick head and no let her think she can intimidate us",I say to him before blocking him.

" Meet me at the training field tomorrow at exactly 5:00 am and don't be late",she said coldly before she marches off .

"What a bitch ,right  Aries?"

"Straight up "

I woke up to my Alarm clock beeping rapidly in bright red numbers which read 4:50 am.

Immediately, I jumped from the bed and quickly put on a pair of black joggers,a vest and a pair of sneakers.

I headed towards the kitchen and grab myself a granola bar. Quickly inhaling the food,I moved to the training grounds.

"  I'm surprised you got here this early,I was expecting you to be late,afterall, most royalties are lazy",she says coldly before throwing me a belt.

"Tie that around your waist and attach it to the tyre over there,you are going to improve upon your normal speed without the help of your creature",she says.

"You'll be running around this property 12 times with this tied to your waist "

"But...",I tried speaking back but ended up being punched in the jaw.

" Shut the fuck up until I tell you to speak, my field ,my rules" ,she said obviously pissed .

"On three,you begin your laps. One,two,...",she said before I took off.

5 months later

"Left jab,uppercut,right hook,...", my trainer Victoria said as I sparred with five of their best warriors at once.

Over the months,I improved upon my strength ,speed,ability and my powers.

As the days went by,I could feel my powers developing.

About two months ago,I discovered the ability to teleport and I ended up in Silas's bedroom .

To my surprise and to his horror,I caught him singing with this horrible voice of his,good thing I had my phone with me 'cus I took a video of him and till now Alice and I have been blackmailing him with it.

As for Victoria, she began warming up to me . Turns out all she needed was someone to talk to and after giving me a few punches,she finally started opening up to me.

And as for Emma,the girl who claimed to be my mate. Well,I hardly saw her in the house,seems like she's been avoiding me but hey,I don't really care.

I turn just in time to see claws coming towards my face. I catch my attacker's wrist and twist it at an odd angle before throwing him out of the ring.

"And the winner is Varian",Silas shouted as I step outside the ring.

"You looked so strong there Vari,when you were training with the warriors.  I want to be like you when I grow up. Don't let brother hear this but he wants to be like you too", Alice whispered in my ear before she turned to her brother, giggling.

"Me?
Want to be like him? Please ",Silas said with mock seriousness.

We all burst out laughing with me and Alice clutching our stomachs on the floor.

"Wanna go scare uncle Lucian",I whispered into Alice's ear and she nodded before we both turned invisible.

Turns out,she and Silas were one of the shifters who were awakened and with me being close to them,they'd began showing signs of my power.

We make our way towards King Lucian's office and begin to make noises.

"Not now guys,I'm not in the mood", he said staring seriously at some papers.

Sensing the change in Atmosphere, I teleported Alice back to her brother.

"What's it?",I asked the king.

"There have been rogue attacks on your old pack and turns out these rogues have someone on the inside",

"So what do you want me to do?"

"In three days,we'll be going over there to help them and also find out what's going on, ",he said

After that statement, all that I saw was the day I was rejected, the humiliation ,the beatings I was given and the dark basement.

"No I can't go back there",I said about to leave the office.

"We have the perfect revenge ",he says stopping me in my tracks.

" They won't know what hit them when our plan is set in motion ",he says with a slight smirk.

I couldn't help but smirk at the thought of the shock that will be seen on their faces as I'm introduced as the High King.

I couldn't wait to see the look on her face.

It's been so long😫

I've missed you guys so much.  I'm back and we're going to get this baby on the road in no time.
