Chapter 9

Adrian's POV

It's been 5 months since Valerie announced me as her mate and future king of the wolf kingdom.

One would think it has been the best 5 months of my life but it has been utter hell.

Thinking she rejected the runt for me, how lucky he was. Not having to put up with such an entitled bitch.

Every fucking time,"Babe i want this", "Babe you know nothing", "Babe you're acting like a pup".

I almost regretted banishing that fool. He would have been the perfect person to exert my anger on. After all, what was the purpose of his existence?

He's probably lying dead somewhere.

Standing in front of my floor to ceiling window, i took a look at my pack. Since i was born, my pack has been a very peaceful place being because it was the strongest pack under the royal pack.

But strange enough, for the past couple of weeks we've been encountering problems with rogues.

They seem to come in groups and know exactly where to pass so that we don't notice them.

Seems like there is a mole in the pack but who?

Thus explaining why  i was standing here, waiting for the help i requested for to arrive.

This mysterious group who no one knows but they're known to be strong and i think such strength might help sharpen my warriors.

Heard one of them was extremely strong and could make an alpha submit to him. Funny enough that's bullshit since only the king has that power and with me being future king, i won't be submitting to anyone soon.

There were even rumours that he was the high king but that was impossible.

There's not been a high king for over a millenia now.

I was brought out of my thoughts when i heard the sound of heels clicking against the floor

"Babe where have you been? Been. searching all over for you", Valerie says in her high pitched voice as she barged into my office wearing a very short skirt and a top that revealed a lot of cleavage.

She might be annoying but her body was one most girls would kill for.

I watched as she locked my office door and walked seductively towards me.

"I want you babe", she said pushing me onto the couch and straddling me as she kissed me deeply.

In less than a few seconds, her top had been discarded on the floor alongside her bra and it didn't take long for me to start working on her breasts.

I could feel myself getting hard as she began grinding on my dick.

Soon enough, she quickly pulled down my pants and slowly took my erection from beneath.

I watched her face contort in pleasure as she continued riding me. This was one of the reasons why i still tolerated  her.

The bitch was a very good fuck. Won't be throwing her away soon.

30 minutes later, I let out a moan as i released my seed into her.

For 5 months we've been trying to produce an heir but it's just not happening.

Specialists in our Kingdom say it's because we're not true mates but I'm not going to believe such trash..

I'll produce an heir, one way or the other.

"Alpha, a group just crossed the border. They said you sent for them", one of the guards mindlinked me.

"Let them in", i replied before I stood up to clean myself.

"Let's go, our guests are in", i told Valerie after she cleaned up.

"All pack members are to assembled in front of the pack house in 5 minutes ",i announced in the pack's mindlink before i made my way to the elevator.

I noticed my parents also standing outside. Seems like everyone was eager to see who this supposed high king was.

Shortly after i made my way towards the pack members assembled outside, 5 black SUVs made their way towards the pack house.

I watched as 14 men and 10 women got down from the SUVs. They all had power emanating of them in waves but not enough to make me submit.

My pack members however were a trembling mess. Even my beta Kyle was trembling.

"Hello there Alpha Adrian", said a guy who seemed like their  leader since they all bowed when he started talking.

"Hello and welcome to the imperial pack", i said smirking. Turns out the rumours were false since this guy didn't look like any high king.

I'll admit his aura was powerful almost the same as mine but he couldn't be the high king.

"This over here is my luna, Princess Valerie", i said waiting for him to bow but he just stood there raising an eyebrow when Valerie started fuming.

"Aren't you supposed to bow to me? I'm your future queen", Valerie says in her high pitched voice.

"I bow to no one but my master", he said with a calm voice.
I looked behind him to see all his members lookng at each of us in the eye. They also weren't bowing.

"Who the hell do you think you are?", my Dad yelled at the guy using his Alpha tone.

"I'm Silas Black, second in command to the high king", he said looking my dad in the eye. That was a sign of challenge but since my Dad was no longer the Alpha of the pack, there was nothing he could do about it.

There were gasps after he made that statement.

So this was the son of Alpha black who ran away. I thought he and his sister were dead. Well guess i thought wrong.

"There's no high king, the only king in these parts is the Werewolf king", i said. Who did this guy think he was? Turns out he wasn't the high king. Then were was the high king?

"Where is your supposed high king?", Valerie said laughing.

"I'd watch my tone if i were you ma'am . Please allow me to introduce to you my master and the High King, His majesty Varian Carter.", he said just as the door of the SUV parked between the other 4 opened and out came someone who we all thought was dead.

Varian, the runt. What the fuck?!!!!!!!!!
