Chapter 13

Varian's POV

Mate",I growled. Finally accepting her as my mate.
Finally acknowledging her as my other half.

"About fucking time you accepted mate,how long has it been asshole, five months?",Aries growls from the depths of my mind.

I wasn't going to argue though. I've been too hard on Emma.

Speaking of Emma,she just remained frozen on the rock,completely shocked by my declaration.

"I-I...",she stuttered,not knowing how to respond.

Wanting to be close to her, I stood up from the water and walked straight to her not thinking about how naked I was.

"I know I refused to acknowledge you when I was first brought to the mansion. I pushed you away and pretended you didn't exist and I'm truly sorry for that",I began apologising.

She just sat there,her face void of any emotion as her eyes bore into me.

Then suddenly, as if she had just realised something,she shot a hard glare at me.

"You think saying sorry solves everything? You refused to acknowledge me the first time we met and then you thought saying sorry would change everything?",she said coldly as if she were a different person.

"I...",I tried talking but was stopped when Emma said in a deep voice.

"I Emma daughter of the Dragon King and future leader of the dragons reject you Varian as my mate",she growled .

WTF?!!!!!

I let out a groan as my chest felt as if it were on fire.

"You better reject her rejection or else you're going to be single for the rest of your pitiful life",Aries said growling.

He was really pissed off and so was I.

"I don't accept your rejection,you-are-MINE",I said just before I sped towards the western part of the forest.

I tried desperately to keep a lid on my anger but it just wasn't working.
My body was trembling from the pent up anger .

Letting out a growl,I punched a tree beside me,breaking it in the process.

I balled my fists,getting ready to punch another tree when I noticed something which wasn't there before.

Just in place of the tree I knocked down sat a flat disc made up of a strange rock.

The rock was obsidian and looking closely I realised it was bending the light surrounding it.

Carved into the rock was a very ancient rune which glowed a dull golden light.

"What is this?",I muttered under by breath as I scanned through my vast knowledge trying to identify the carving but I came out blank.

Taking another step closer ,I gasped as the rune glowed brightly . It was as if it had sensed my presence.

Strange enough I felt a familiar presence emanating from the disc.

Intrigued by the sudden change,I took a few steps closer and laid my palm against the ancient tune feeling it hum gently beneath my palms.

Just then,to my utter surprise,  vines erupted from the disk wrapping tightly around my limbs and I let out a yelp as I was  violently pulled me into the disk which completely disappeared a few seconds later .

"Aries,Aries", I yelled frantically, trying to reach him.

A moment later he grumbled,obviously annoyed. He took a moment to realise we were not in the forest or any familiar place within the pack before he bellowed,"How stupid are you? Mate doesn't want us and the first thing you do is go wandering into unknown territory."
