"Star! Come here." I shout as I put her bowl of food down. "Mums got her." Jack laughs as he walks into the kitchen. "Of course she does." I laugh as he pulls me into his arms. "Sorry, I just wanted cuddles." Julie smiles as she walks into the kitchen and puts star down at her bowl. "It's fine, are you alright to keep an eye on her for a few hours while we look at houses?" I ask making Julie smile. "Of course my dears. I'm so excited for you." She smiles as she pulls us into her arms.
"Your dad and I moved in together at nineteen, and look at us." She says making us smile. "That's the plan Ma." Jack smiles. "Alright, well get going then." She smiles, I bend down and kiss Star's head before grabbing my bag and Jack takes my hand. "Love you mum." Jack smiles, "I love you too, don't settle with a house, make sure it's perfect." She says making us smile.
"See you in a bit!" I shout as I shut the door and follow Jack to the car. "I can't believe this." I smile as I rub my stomach. "I know, we're gonna see our little grape." Jack says making me laugh. "Stop calling them grape." I say making him smile at me. "I will call our child whatever I want, I worked just as hard as you." He says making me raise a brow. "Okay mister, that feels so good baby, faster." I mimic him, making him smirk. "Do I sound that sexy, or is that just you?" He says making me laugh and slap his shoulder as he laughs as he pulls away.
"We're both sexy." I say making him smile and grab my hand and rest them in his lap. "You damn right." He winks before driving us to the doctors. We arrive after driving for fifteen minutes, we checked in and waited in the waiting room until they called my name.
"Ivory Lewis?" They say making me roll my eyes. "Your real names Ivory?" Jack asks as we stand up. "Yeah, I hate it though." I pout making him smile. "I love it though." He whispers before kissing my head and walking into the room.
"Hi Ivory, I'm Dr Khan, it's a pleasure to meet you. I take it this is the father?" She smiles at Jack. "Jack Payne." He smiles as he shaker her hand. "Pleasure. So, let's get started shall we?" She says making me smile and sit down on the bed.
"So, when was your last period?" She asks making me check on my phone. "The nineteenth of October." I say making her smile. "So your eleven weeks, I'm going to book in your scan for next week, and your midwife will be Jamie, she's lovely and works with mothers with fertility problems." She says making me smile. "Thank you so much." I smile as we stand up.
"Oh, actually, they have an appointment today at two for the scan if you want that?" Dr Khan says making me smile. "Yes please." I say making her type before turning and smiling at me. "That's all booked in. Congratulations you guys, I'm very excited to meet the new addition to the family when they arrive." She smiles as she hands me all the information I need. "And don't forget the vitamins." She says making us both smile.
"I won't, thank you so much." I smile as I shake her hand. "Thank you Dr Khan." Jack smile as he shakes her hand. "Good luck you two." She smiles as we leave. "We've still got to see the houses." He smiles as we walk back to the car. "I'm so excited, I still think I'm gonna prefer the second house." I say making him smile and kiss my hand. "Whatever you want baby." He smiles before pulling away.
We look at the first house, we liked it but it just didn't feel like our forever home, we're now at the second house and instantly my heart warms as we drive up the driveway. "Oh my god." I laugh with a massive smile on my face. "This place is insane." He smiles as he parks the car. I go to open the door, but he slaps my thigh like always.
"I thought you knew by now doll." He shakes his head with a smile on his face. "I just love pissing you off." I smile sarcastically as he opens my door and holds his hand out for me. "Thank you my love." I smile before kissing him. "Come on." He smiles as we pull away and grabs my hand before walking up to the door.
"Hi, you must be Mr and Mrs Payne, I'm Hugo Gold." The estate agent smiles as he opens the door. "Oh, we're not married." I laugh making Jack frown. "Not yet." He forces a smile at the guy who can't stop staring at me, making me feel really uncomfortable, so I hug jacks arm and force a smile.
"Well then, let's take a look shall we?" He smiles as he lets us in. We walk around the house alone, and fall in love with ever inch of it. "Can we go into the garden?" I ask as we look out of the floor to roof sliding doors. "Of course, take your time." Hugo smiles, Jack opens the door and pulls me out with him. "This is fucking massive!" I whisper yell, making him chuckle.
"We could build an actual football pitch out here." He says making me slap his arm. "Our child is not going to grow up with a pitch in the back garden when you could build them a tree house our something," I say making him smile. "I can still build them a treehouse." He says making me roll my eyes. "I'd never see you in the house." I say making him scoff.
"Well, actually you will probably bring their chair out here and make them watch you 'beat me'." He says in quotation marks, making me roll my eyes. "I do win." I mumble. "I know darlin." He smiles as he kisses my head.
"So, is this the one? Like you thought?" He asks making me smile up at him. "This is the one." I say excitedly making him laugh before grabbing my face and kissing me passionately. "Come on then, so we can make it for the scan." He says making me smile before we go back in.
We finalised everything, before making our way to the hospital. We made it in time and went straight in, we get called in instantly and I lay on the bed.
"You're very lucky to get an appointment today, I barely get any cancellations." The girls smiles as she hands me a paper towel to put in my leggings once I've pulled them a little lower. "I know, thank you for this." I smile as Jack holds my hand while his legs shake. "Dads very nervous." She says making us laugh.
"I have endometriosis, so we never thought this could happen and we know the risks." I say making her nod and smile understandingly. "Then let's hope we get some good news today, this will be a little cold at first, are you ready?" She asks making me squeeze Jack's hand before nodding. "I love you, no matter what." Jack whispers as he kisses my hand while she puts the gel on and starts moving the machine around a little. "I love you." I smile as I bite the inside of my lip.
A fast heartbeat blast out of the machine, making Jack and I smile widely at each other before turning to see Jade turning the screen around to show us our little baby. "I'm very happy to say, everything looks perfect, they're very active. I can tell that your just over twelve weeks. I can't see anything that will harm the baby going on inside." She asks making me turn to Jack with a massive smile to see him mirroring it. "They're okay?" I ask hopefully making him laugh and nod as he wipes the tears from his eyes.
"Yes doll." He smiles as I wipe my cheeks. "Your having a healthy little baby ." She says making me chuckle and turn to Jack before I completely start sobbing. "Oh sweetie." Jade rubs my hand, Jack stands up and hugs me while I'm still led down. "We've done it darlin, we're gonna have a baby ." He smiles as his own tears run down his cheeks before kissing my head.
"I will just take some pictures and then we're all done." Jade says making me smile.
