"Where are Eren, Historia, and Elliot?!" Levi said, shoving his foot into the man's mouth. He let out a pained grunt and struggled and gripped Levi's shoe, his fingers slipping uselessly.

Levi couldn't admit that Elliot's capture was putting him off more than Eren's and Historia's.

He pulled his foot out of his mouth and the man coughed up handfuls of blood, his teeth visibly knocked out. "You can't win!" He cried angrily. "If you don't turn yourselves in, then every last Scout will be given the noose!!"

From behind Levi, his new squad gulped. The Commander was brought in by the Military Police. He could be dead by now. They all thought, slightly scared for their Commander.

Levi then kicked the man around and held his arm in a lock. "You're really infuriating." He said, slowly twisting the man's hand further up. He screamed and cried in pain as he struggled to breath. "Are you going to speak? Cuz there are plenty more bones in your body to break."

"You're..." He started, turning around to face Levi. "You're insane!!!" He cried, pained tears streaming down his face.

Levi just tipped his head up and looked down at him, a glare burning holes into the man's eyes. "Maybe I am."

He's so scary. His squad shivered at their Captain's behavior.

Suddenly, Sasha's voice perked up. "Two people are headed this way. In..." She trailed off, concentrating. "...that direction." She finished, pointing to 2 figures making their way towards them.

Levi peered from behind the tree, ready to fight any MP's, but relaxed his shoulders as he recognized them. Hange and Moblit.

"Hello, friends!" Hange exclaimed, smiling softly and waving. "We brought news!"

As Levi read out the newspaper that Hange had handed to him, the rest of his squad squished behind him, trying to catch a glimpse of the printed writing.

"I guess Erwin's coup d'etat was successful." Levi said, slightly relieved. "His dangerous ass plan actually worked. In short, we are no longer criminals."

With that everyone jumped for joy, hugging each other and beaming in satisfaction. "Yes!" Jean shouted, pumping his fists in the air and laughing with Connie.

The man that Levi beat up, sat defeated against the tree, unable to move from his injuries. "They beat us." He groaned, a frown rippling on his bruised face.

"Lots of people had to make hard choices for this, not just Erwin, like Pixis, and even the Premier." Hange spoke, turning to Moblit and sharing a smile with him. "Also Reeves managed to get a confession from an Interior Police and threatened the newspapers to spread this around."

"Whereas my choice has gotten three of your men killed." Levi looked down, slightly ashamed. "I'm sorry."

When he looked back up at his friend, she smiled sympathetically.

He looked away again and spoke. "Here's the thing. The Interiors may have lost, but not all of them know it. They still have Eren and Historia. We need to find them quickly." He tried his best not to involve Elliot's name, since the situation called for far bigger things than their siblinghood.

"Right." Hange said, returning to her serious face. "I think I know where they might be." She said, holding up an old leather-bound book up for everyone to see. "Let's get there and put an end to this fight."

"Understand that our goal was not to establish Military rule." Nile reassured the concerned nobles. "In the place of Fritz, a new ruler will come from the true royal family. They will be the one responsible for leading the people."
