Book One : Air

True to Theodore's words, when I got downstairs I was surprised to find Hermione and Ron sitting on a leather couch in an enormous modern living room with tall ceilings, reflective marble floors, an enormous, fancy chandelier and an open plan kitchen with a mint backslash, white cupboards and the most confusing looking coffee machine I'd ever seen. Around the living room, photos and awards hung on the walls.

Without thinking I ran towards the two and tackled them in a hug.

"I was so worried!" I yelled, more to the floor than to them. I remembered Georgia, the woman with the blood on her hands, a smirk on her face- and I immediately began scanning Ron. He looked paler than usual, his ginger hair sporting a nice cowlick on the right side of his face. His eyes were slightly sunken and his freckles seemed lighter.

He smiled slowly and nodded at me reassuringly. The pained look in his eyes told me he wasn't ready to talk about what had happened down in the cave. I sat down next to him and rubbed his arm softly

Sure, I'd only known Ron a few days now but I felt we'd already been on a lifetime of adventures together.

Compared to Ron, Hermione looked great which gave me a huge sigh of relief. She and Ron were both wearing their clothes which had been freshly laundered. Hermione had her hair tied up in a ponytail and was watching Game Of Thrones with such interest I felt she'd forgotten there were other people in the room.

At that very moment, I remembered why we'd come to Diagon City in the first place and I gasped. I pulled the two off the couch (much to Hermione's dismay) and turned back to a suspicious Theodore and Pansy.

"Can I have a word with them? Privately?" I asked and Pansy narrowed her eyes, a sneer threatening to form on her lips. She grabbed Theodore's hand and they walked into the kitchen, out of earshot.

"Harry, what's the matter?" Hermione asked, glancing at the kitchen where our two saviors watched us wearily, whispering under their breaths. "We still need to find me a teacher," I said and as if they'd been in a trance the past day, Hermione and Ron blinked back to reality and they frowned.

"How? None of us have ever been to Diagon City.  This place is bigger than your Over Worlden New York City," Hermione stated.

At that, I faltered. I hadn't been to the Big Apple but movies always made it seem enormous. If Diagon City was bigger than New York, big enough to have its own President? I didn't exactly like our chances at finding a willing teacher so easily anymore.

"What about Parkinson and Nott?" Ron asked, scratching his chin. "'Mione and I asked them a few questions yesterday whilst you were out. They've both lived here their entire lives. Maybe they could-"

"Help?" Hermione asked begrudgingly. I didn't know why she'd gotten so angry all of a sudden, but her eyes burnt with fire. "They're earth benders, Ron. Specifically of the Bellator Tribe," she said, pointing to a large hanging tapestry on the wall that I hadn't noticed before. It was dark green, the colour of most of the house's accents. Inside the dark green rectangle was the white figure of a person in fighting stance.

Hermione grimaced at the plaited artwork. "I should've known it the moment I saw it but Game Of Thrones distracted me the whole of yesterday and today-" she face-palmed angrily and glared at the wall. "What's the Bellator Tribe?" Ron asked and she rolled her eyes. Obviously, Ron was just as clueless as me when it came to the complicated mechanics of the four nations.

"All the nations have more distinct tribes, like the Northern and Southern water tribes. There's nothing in between them. You're either Northern or Southern. But the other three elements, they have a less direct way of it. Different types of benders from different nations practice different bending styles."
