Dreams are often a place where our imagines take over. They are a safe place that can help us while we're vulnerable in the real world. They give us something to look forward too, a place that we have no real control over. At least they were if you were anyone normal.
"Oh, Father, turn it up."
"Please, Mr. Dragomir, I love this song."
I hadn't been there when this had happened. I'm seeing this through my friends.
"This song is sick... the traditional "vomit" definition of the word."
"Shut up, Andre. Me and Rose want to hear it."
Andre had been Lissa's older brother before the accident.
"Rose and I," Lissa, "Rose and I."
"I think the tune is rather catchy."
Her father had went to turn up the radio, that's when everything changed. I smelt the smoke and seen the twisted metal of the car. I could feel the blood surrounding me, and the dirt on my skin, or Lissa's skin really. Everything was starting to suffocate me, only my subconscious had made me pull out of it.
I sat up and gasp for air, I heard Rose hit the wall. I stood up and as I moved to Lissa, Rose came out of her room. We both walked in and slowly walked to the bed.
"Lissa?
"Lissa. Hey, Lissa, wake up."
Her soft whimpers and callings for her brother. I slowly sat her up as she woke up. She was lightly shaking and I sadly smiled at her.
"You're having a bad dream."
"It wasn't a dream."
"I know. The accident."
"Sorry. Not again."
I looked at the poor girl, wrapping an arm around her.
"You know, ever since that night, I still can't get used to it. You being in my head, it's so weird."
She looked at Rose, the girl sitting down beside her friend. I looked at the girls before standing up.
"I'll let you two talk, come into the kitchen when your ready."
I had walked in and turned on one of the diming lights. The cat that they somewhat adopting sitting on the window.
"Hello Oscar."
I smoothed down some of his fur, I was never really a cat person but he was alright. He didn't like Rose but no animal ever did. She was what our world calls Dhampire, they are half-vampire and half-human. Lissa had been another creature, Moroi. She was a vampire that had magical powers. It had taken about five minutes for them both to come into the kitchen.
"Rose what happen."
"She's alright, just weak from not feeding."
I bent down in front of her and smiled, I pulled my tank top away from my neck.
"Come on Princessa, you've got to eat."
"Are you... are you sure about this?"
I nod and tiled my head, I seen her hesitation but as she looked at my neck I seen the overpowering gaze. Her fangs had contracted along with her other features. She had blonde hair and jade eyes that was unique to her.
"Andrea."
I shook my head, as she moved closer to me. I felt that anticipation, it was like a Dhampire or human. I couldn't become addicted to it, not in the same way they could. It wasn't a drug, just an adrenaline pulsing through me. After a minute or so, she had stopped. It didn't take long with our connection and the way my blood heightens her powers.
