It had taken me almost ten minutes to get to my dorm and change, the cars were parked closely outside. I found it funny that he was going to go through a bunch of torture just to go shopping with a bunch of girls.

"Where is Andrea?"

I snuck up on him, I almost had him but he grabbed my arm and flipped me over.

"OK."

We both laughed as he helped me up, I got into the car beside Rose and Lissa.

"What was that about?"

"It's just a little something Dimitri and I do to keep each other on our toes. I've gotten better at the whole surprise thing."

"Wow, that was weak. How long have you been in crush with him?"

I glanced at Lissa, she was smiling away.

"I am... very sure that I don't know what you're talking about."

She nudged me and I nudged her back, Rose looked at me in the corner of her eye. I winked at her as we started to move.

We had rode the two hour trip to Missoula in a large school van. Many of the Moroi had lived away from humans but if you wanted to shop at their mall then you'd have to go during their hours.

"This will be fun."

Rose smiled at me, we had ten people in out group. Two of Victors guardians, Ben and Spiridon. A third guardian named Stan. The girls and I with Natalie, Victor, and Dimitri. The car had blacked out window to keep the sunlight off of the Moroi.

"Natalie doesn't have personal guardians yet. She's under the protection of their families guardians. Since she's an Academy student leaving campus, a school guardian accompanies her."

Stan. Rose had sat between Spirirdon and Dimitri, she needed the training experience. I had sat in the middle with Lissa and Natalie, they talked to Victor.

"She's suppose to have two guardians, they always do."

I closed my eyes and leaned back, I listened to his soft voice. Talking about the guardians and how she's preparing.

"You and Andrea are going to be his partners."

Silence slipped over them, I smiled as I moved my hair so she could access it.

"Guarding partner."

"Yup."

I relaxed again and I sighed.

"Rose could you braid my hair, if we're going out in public then I would like to be prepared."

"Sure, don't fall asleep."

Both of us laughed, as I kept still I was pulled into his head. He was watching me, or the back of my head. He had been focused on something, as he looked closer I seen the top of my markings.

"Since you two are female, it'll be easier for you to be near her without attracting attention."

"I can't take my eyes of you, any of you."

That sounded amazing, maybe he could keep his eyes on me. I heard him gasp, I forgot about the bond. He focused on me, now was the best time to say anything but I just pulled myself out of his head.

"So, do I get a silver stake? That would be a..."

"No. But remember, today you are not just Lissa's friend. You don't know how to use the stake or how to subdue them."

"Spiridon."

As she finished my hair, the van had stopped outside the back end of the building. We had gotten out, even thought I kept my eyes from his, I knew he kept his on mine.
