~Lee's POV~

"WHAT?" Michael yelled.

My son and I stood inside the bedroom alone as I explained to him that he had to stay with Christa and Travis.

"You heard me Mike," I said. "You have to stay. No questions."

"So let me get this straight," Michael said. "You're letting two CHILDREN go with you and you're making me stay here?"

"Clem HAS to come with me!" I yelled. "That fucker on the radio knows she's here! I can't let her out of my sight. Duck too!"

Michael shook his head.

"So you're fine with letting ME out of your sight then?" He asked.

"Yes," I directly told him. "You have Travis and you know how to protect yourself. I'm done explaining myself Mike. This decision is final."

I turned to leave the bedroom.

"That's bullshit," Michael groaned under his breath.

I slowly turned around.

"Excuse me?" I said.

My frustration took control. I yanked Michael's collar towards me. My face was just inches away from his.

"You listen to me," I said in a deep, stern voice. "I don't care if it's the end of the world, and I DAMN sure don't care how old you get. I'm ALWAYS gonna be your goddamn father, Mike. Do you understand?"

Mike took a deep breath.

"Yes sir," he mumbled.

"I can't hear you," I said.

"Yes sir!" he said louder.

I let him go.

"Then act like it," I scolded. "You do what I tell you to do. No back talk whatsoever, son."

Michael gulped and nodded.

It was near midnight. Everyone was outside in the backyard getting ready to go to Crawford. Kenny grabbed some supplies out of the shed. Clem and Duck stayed near me.

"I hope this works," Omid said. "We have to get this medicine."

"I just need these damn boat parts," Kenny said, handing Vince a pistol.

Bryan rolled his eyes.

"How much of an asshole can one person be?" Molly mumbled.

Michael leaned against the house by the back door. I walked over and handed him two guns.

"Be careful here, Mike," I told him. "Don't attract noise."

He nodded and went back inside.

I saw Vernon walk through the gates with a woman. It looked like Brie, the defensive woman at the morgue.

"Who's this?" Kenny asked aggressively.

"Brie," Vernon said. "She's gonna help us."

"We're gonna need all the help we can get," I said.

She appreciated the support.

"I used to be a student here," she said. "I know the layout."

Vernon saw Clem and Duck standing beside me.

"They're going?" He asked.

I nodded.

"I said this place is not kid friendly!" Vernon said. "This is too dangerous for them."
