Chapter 10 - Problem

Maddie

Okay.. this is bad. I have a crush on George, which is out of the ordinary, and he knows it ! This is bad. If it weren't for Alyssa none of this would have happened! I can't get mad at her though. She's my best friend!

I just need to convince George somehow that I don't like him. Besides, I have a boyfriend. Perfect!

The next day

"Hey, baby!" I said as I ran up to Tayler and kissed his cheek. "Uh.. hi." He said. "Is everything okay ?" I asked. He said everything was fine so I brushed it off and found George.

"Hey." I said. "'Sup." He replied. "Look, Alyssa is a psychopath and we both know that, right ?" I said and he nodded. "So, that means I don't like you. I really don't have a crush on you, I'm not in love with you, or anything like that. Besides, I have a boyfriend so-" he started laughing. "What's so funny ?" I asked. "Oh nothing. It's just that your cute when you lie." He winked and walked away. I'm not gonna lie, I kind of got butterflies when he wink- no.
I hate my life.

George

Maddie didn't even deny that. Wow.. I actually thought Alyssa went crazy but turns out Maddie did. Wait..

I like Maddie...
Maddie likes me...

Wait, before I jump into any conclusions, I need to make sure.

It's lunch time and I see Maddie sitting there, alone.

"You okay ?" I say as I go up to her. "Ugh, what do you want ? I'm fine. Now, leave." She says. Stubborn much..

"Why are sitting here all by yourself ?" I asked. She didn't want to tell me so I kept repeating like an annoying robot. She sighed. "Well, I was supposed to eat with Tayler but he hasn't shown up and I told the girls that I'd be eating with him so they decided that they'll eat with their mans to leave me and Tayler some alone time." She explained. "Yikes.."
I said.

"What about you ? Why are you alone ?" She asked. "Meh, just ditched the guys 'cause I saw you were alone." I said. "Aww.. you ditched them for me ?" She said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. "Listen here, love. I know you like me, you don't have to deny that." I said as I got near her that our lips were inches away from one another.

She blushed so hard and looked away. Yep, I have my proof. She likes me. Now time for teasing. "You look cute when you blush." She blushed even harder that she was even redder than a tomato. I smirked and walked away.

Maddie

Damn it! He saw me blush. Great. Now he knows I like him. My life sucks. Anyway, where is Tayler ?

I looked around and there he was. Kissing another girl. My luck is the worst. I walked up to him and told him "We're over.". He started finding dumb excuses but there was no point.

I texted Alyssa telling her that I'm ditching my next classes and to bring me what I miss.

I drove home and sat there on my bed, crying. Why is life like this ?

I woke up and it was the next day. Damn, I slept for a long time. I got up and did my morning routine and checked my phone. Oh my god..

3 missed calls from Noah
7 missed calls from Dixie
25 missed calls from Bryce

25?! Has he gone insane ?

Does he care that much about me..?
