Chapter 1 - First Day Of School

Maddie

"Maddie... I have liked you for a very long time... That's actually why I always bullied you. I'm really sorry." George said. "Wait, what ?" I asked. "Yeah, and... uhm, will you, will you go on a date with me ?" I nodded and hugged him and he hugged back.

We arrived at a waterfall. It was so cute. I took off my dress (I was wearing a swimsuit) and jumped in the water. George took off his shirt and jumped in too as he picked me up and spun me around. I love this guy.

We then ate a romantic dinner which came out of a picnic basket. He brought In & Out! My favorite!

We were done eating. George seemed nervous all the sudden. "Maddie... will, will you be my girlfriend ?" He mumbled. "Yes! Yes! A million times, yes!" I jumped and hugged him as we started leaning closer and closer as our lips were two inches away and about to connect... "Maddie..." I heard a familiar voice say.

"MADDIE!" Nick yelled which caused me to wake up. "Huh ? What? Oh.. it was just a dream." I sighed in relief. "Anyways... get ready or we'll be late for school!" I got up and went straight to the bathroom. I was excited for the first day but I really didn't want to see George. Ugh. I took a shower and picked out some clothes.

I went downstairs and noticed that Nick already had left. I heard a knock at the door. "Hey!" I said. "Hi! I thought I'd pick you up for the first day, you know ? Maybe, Nick can come too ?" Alyssa told me. I chuckled letting her know that Nick had already left. She let out a little groan and I laughed and told her that we should go.

During the car ride, I accidentally blurted out having a dream about George. "Oop. Girl, spill the tea sista!" She said. "Well.. 'Maddie... I have liked you for a very long time... "Oop.. what if that's actually true ? What if George actually bullies you because he likes you ? Boys actually tend to do that." She pointed out. I thought of it. No, that's impossible. "Ok, so Nick doesn't like you ? He doesn't bully you." I teased. She sighed. "I knew he didn't like me."

Nick and I tell each other everything. But, there is one thing which I don't tell her : Nick likes her. Yep, they like each other. I ain't no Cupid though so I will make them find their way to each other. I'm such a good friend and a good sister.

Alyssa and I brushed everything off and listened to Problem by Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea. We started jamming and vibing. Once we were 5 minutes away from school, we immediately stopped to make a good impression.

We entered school and Tina and Rae came to hug us.

I go to my locker and I notice George coming towards me. I groan. "Hey blondie. Looking ugly as always." He pointed out. "Thanks! I really appreciate that. Your hair looks messy. And you got a little something on your face." I teased as he rubbed his face, confused. "Where?" He asked. "Right here-" I slapped him. Damn, I missed this. I saw the principal walking towards us. "You guys still hate each other ? When will this be end." She whined. George and I looked at each other and laughed. She walked away. "You know, you didn't have to slap me, right ?" He asked. "Yeah, but, it felt good." I chuckled. Suddenly, a cute boy came towards us. He was so cute. "Uhm, hi. Can you guys help me ?" He asked. "Sure! What's up ?" I asked. "You probably shouldn't ask her for help. She's useless." George said. I gently punched his shoulder. "Sorry, he has always been like this since I first walked in this school." "Okay ? I am actually looking for locker number... 7!" "Oh! Right next to mine!" I said excitedly. I showed him his locker and helped him out. His name is Karl. A cute name for a cute boy...

It was lunch time, finally. I told the girls about George coming to my locker and me slapping him. They laughed. I also told them about Karl.

He then came up to us. "Hey, do you guys mind if I sit here ? I don't really know anyone except for you, Maddie." He asked. I was about to nod until Tina screamed. "Yes! Of course! Yeah!" I glared at her. "Sorry.. I just.. like meeting new people! Yeah!" She quickly covered. He sat down next to me.

Nick then came up to us and Alyssa started staring. She was so embarrassing. "Is she staring at that guy ?" Karl whispered to me while discreetly pointing towards Nick. I chuckled. "Yeah, he is actually my brother and she is crazy about him." He chuckled as well. Nick stole a chicken nugget from me. I playfully hit his arm. "These took me all morning to make!" I whined. He took all of them. I took them back. "I hate you." I said. "Oh, Maddie. I love you too, my dear sister." He hugged me. Wait.. this has never happened before. "Did you just say you love me ? Wow, Nick Laurier just told his sister, Maddie Laurier that he loves her.." I processed everything. "Yeah, yeah. Just be grateful. Anyways, who's this? Your new boyfriend?" He said pointing at Karl. "First of all, no, he is new. Second of all, his name is Karl. Now, how about you talk to your girlfriend ?" He looked confused. "Alyssa ? Your girlfriend." They both blushed. Avani fist bumped me.

Tina and Rae both know that Alyssa and Nick like each other but they both agreed not to say anything.

George came too. I groaned. "Free chicken nuggets ? Oh, yes." He said. I took his arm and twisted it. "Ow! What was that for ?" He winced. "To make your arm hurt." I said. "Yeah, no crap Sherlock." "Oh, George. You flatter me so much for no reason. I know my intelligence is as good as Sherlock." "Yeah, yeah. Now shut up."

The day finally ended. Karl and I exchanged phone numbers and I went home. Noah drove me. Sadly, George was in the backseat.

Noah started playing WAP by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. I groaned and rolled my eyes. "Don't roll your eyes too much. They might get stuck." George pointed out. "At least, I won't see you clearly." I answered.

We arrived home and I went up to my room. I changed into some Nike Pros and an oversized shirt. I sat down on my bed at starting scrolling through TikTok. George entered my room.

"You really can't knock, can you ?" I rolled my eyes. "Damn, blondie. Your room is as ugly as you." He said looking around. "Oh, shut up." I said. "May you leave now ?" I asked. "Nah, I need the bathroom." "There is literally a bathroom downstairs." He left. What's this guy's problem ?
