Bruce decided that he was going to make it up to Selina somehow. He didn't know how, but he would, no matter how long it takes. Crys stirred and opened her eyes a little bit. Then said, "May you please put me down?" Selina complied but put her on the couch instead. She rubbed her eyes sleeping and asked, "What's going on?" Selina said, "I'm your biological mother." Crys said sleepily, "My biological mother has emerald coloured eyes, and she's kind, she wouldn't have given me to those poor excuses for human beings." Selina who wasn't sure if Crys was talking about her asked, "Tell me everything you remember about her." Crys said still sleepily, "She's tall, she wears black, she has very shiny green eyes, she said she loved me while crying. It's all blurry."
Crys asked while sobering up, "Why do you ask?" Bruce had a theory. He said, "Crys, we have very important news. We're your biological parents." Crys said, "And." Bruce asked, "Aren't you surprised?" Crys replied, "No, not really." Selina asked, "Why aren't you surprised?" Crys said, "Well, my adoptive parents wanted to emotionally break me when I was six, so they ran my DNA threw some machine and showed me who my actual parents were and told me that my real parents don't love me, and that they abandoned me. That was a waste of time on their part because at the time I didn't believe them considering the fact that I remember my mother and she told me she loved me. I'd take her word over their's any day.
They decided to do that since nothing physical affected me as much, and they were also so into torturing me and my little sister, Emerald. My biological parents names are Selina and Bruce. At least, that's what I managed to read, since I was about six or seven when they did that and I was still learning how to read. And now, a Selina and Bruce are telling me that they are my biological parents. I would be surprised if you had told me different names." Bruce looked at her with pity while Selina was seething with anger, she was going to break those twisted people when she found them. She was going to make them wish they were never born. They knew who her actual parents were and didn't return her or at least call.
Crys said lowly, "Don't bother looking for them. They knew about this for seven months then abandoned me. So, we're seven months late. You won't find them even if you tried hard enough, but, they're scientists and scientists don't like their experiments escaping, so they'll come back for me." but the thing that plagues Selina the most is the woman that Crys described wasn't her, she never held Crys in her hands. Crys was dead, or at least looked dead and she told the paramedics to bury her. And gave a name to put on the tombstone. She told them to show her where she was buried. But then who had Crys described? Selina kept her thoughts to herself.
Crys asked, "So what happens now?" Bruce said, "I haven't thought that far." Crys said, "Okay." Selina asked, "What do you want to happen?" Crys furrowed her eyebrows and replied, "I wanna see Dick while you two talk it out, I'll await your decisions regarding my future." She stood up and walked out of the room.
Crys' POV
I walked out of the room and walked down the hallway I previously walked up. I really can't believe I thought I was dead. Oh well, at least I went with it instead of freaking out, that would have been embarrassing. I thought about the fact that I'm Batman and Catwoman's biological daughter. I haven't yet processed that information yet, but hopefully, it'll gradually stick. I continued walking until I reached the room where I had removed the IV needles from my skin was. Richard was still asleep and was snoring cutely. Why does Robin as a civilian have to be so gosh darn cute? I sat down next to his sleeping form and just decided to wait for him to wake up.
I just sat there, looking around the room and observing it. The room didn't seem as modern as Gotham Academy did, in fact, now that I'm thinking about it. The whole Manor looks vintage. Like, it was renovated but not enough to change anything that's significant. Like the carpets on the floor and the tapestry on the walls. It looks, ......nice. This place looks like it came straight out of a book about architecture in the Georgian Era. I remember Emerald said that when she grew up she'd be the princess of Mars, because the Martian who'd sweep her off her feet would be a prince, I really miss her. I hoped that since most of the memories with her are gone, it would hurt a little less but, it's worse most times.
Well, now that I'm thinking about it, I might as well ask questions and try to find answers to them. Like, Why did those bastards pick me as their experiment? There must be something crucial about me that they'd sacrifice their biological daughter for experiments with me. And if it's there, what is it? Or maybe, I'm looking at this in a wrong perspective, maybe there was something crucial about Emerald that I had to be experimented on with her. And if it was there, what was it? There were also adult test subjects but we never talked, they were all put in tubes and after one procedure, they'd die. I asked the bastards about it sometimes and they told me that I was too young and stupid for me to understand what was going on. I might be young but I'm definitely not stupid. They made sure of that, forcing me to learn things, making sure that I had memorized them by heart and punishing me for every single thing I failed or didn't do perfectly. But when I got too used to the punishments, they decided to use Emerald against me. So, everything I failed, Emerald paid for it.
Those sick bastards. One day, I will have vengeance, you might think that since I know that I'm Batman's daughter, I'd become all about justice and all that crap, but I'm not, I am my mother's daughter before I'm am any of theirs. Another thing that I realized was that the woman I remember as my mother and Catwoman aren't the same person. So, who is that woman? And why don't I recall more than that? I know Selina knows that I wasn't describing her and that she might ask me about that. I guess I'll have to lie about that in order to avoid further complications for a while. But whoever that woman is, I hope she shows up before the scientists. If she loves me like she said she does, in the memory, she's probably been keeping an eye on me and won't let me get hurt, much. But, I have a lot of questions.
