volleyball...

We walked into the gym. It looked the same as it always had. High ceiling, giant stage which went into the wall. There were two volleyball nets set up

"Do you play volleyball?" I asked minx

"Not really" minx said "just occasionally on school teams, with friends you know. Do you?"

"Here and there" i said walking up to one of the nets "oh locker rooms are down here"
I led minx to a side part of the gym just beside the entrance was a staircase which led to the locker rooms

"That looks-"

"Bad? Yeah it doesnt get any less creepy" i said

"Good to know" minx said

We started to walk down the staircase
I looked over to a nervous minx
I should say something
"The locker rooms kinda suck... hell this whole school kinda-"

"BOO!!"

I jumped back and someone was in my arms... minx....

Laughing. Hannah? No. The lights were off. Why were they off? WHO WAS LAUGHING WHY WAS MINX ON ME??? It was minx right...

The lights came on

Niki, rhianna and gee stood before me

Minx stepped away from me blushing

"You assholes" i said "stepping forward giving gee a hug

"Goddamn puffy you're tall" gee said
I placed my chin on her head as we were still hugging

"No youre just tiny" i said pulling away

"Shut up puffy" gee said jokingly running a hand through her blue hair

"Hey rhana" i said walking up to rhianna
She went up on her tippy toes she was slightly taller than me when she did this so i did the same to get back the power advantage

"Youre to tall" she said going back down

"Youre to short" i said back

"Who is that? Why is it tall" Rhianna said looking at minx

"SHE is minx and SHE is new here" i said to rhianna
Rhianna squinted at minx and walked up to her

"We'll get along well enough" rhianna said to a confused minx rhianna almsot stepped back but instead stepped forward and sniffed minx

"RHANA" me and niki yelled each grabbing a sleeve of her hoodie and pulling her back
Niki who was standing beside her wrapped her arms around rhianna and walked her down the rest of the hallway to the locker rooms both girls laughing

Gee turned to minx
"Ignore her i beg you" she said and followed the two girls

"Ignore all of them" i said to minx "they can be a bit much sometimes... specifically rhianna... hell only rhianna the other two are angels"

"I like rhianna" minx said smiling "she reminds me of... well me a bit"

"You sniff people?" I asked concerned

"No no not that" she said quickly "crackhead kinda way"

"Rhianna a crackhead?" I said raising my eyebrows "thats an understatement"

~time skip to like 10mins later~

"Ok everyone bring it in!" Our gym teacher Mr. Keyes yelled "i have a few announcements! one volleyball. Sign up sheets are over there you can sign up at the end of class unless we're short players, we will be making cuts"

Holy shit.... i'd played volleyball every year i had been at this school and they always included everyone. People wouldnt be able to play?

I zoned out i couldn't believe it! What if i didnt make the team or hannah? Or gee! She was finally going to play after years of refusing to...

someone nudged me i turned to see a face i feel like i hadnt seen in years

"Sylvee?" I said looking the blonde girl in the face

"Wassup puff daddy?" The girl said with a smile

"When did you go blonde?" i asked standing up

"Summer" she said simply "when did you split dye your hair? it looks very cool by the way"

"Summer" i said

"Wow you got tall" she said

"You have no clue how many times i've heard that today" i said lauging

"Handshake?" She said

I smiled

Our hand shake was nothing special we were about to do it when we made eye contect

"We need sapnap" we said in sync

"Is he in this class??" I asked

"No he has math" Sylvee said dissapointed "oh get in line Keyes is making volleyball teams"

"Are you gonna try out?" I asked her

"I dont know... i can already feel the pressure of try outs. I cant believe they're making cuts" Sylvee said

"Me too" i said "i thought it was budget but we have to pay fees to play anyways"

"I heard theres a new head for the school division" Sylvee said leaning closer to me "we know whos to blame for this"

My eyes widened as we got in line. That was news to me. And not good news. I didnt know who the head of division was and i'd probably never meet them but they had made an enemy. Me. A highschool senior named puffy.

God i thought i was more intimidating...
