The rest of the weekend flew by. me and minx doing that every night until the afternoon on monday when we left. None were quite as special though

Tuesday was a day like no other
Why?
I had barely got out of my car when someone told me i had to go the principals office

I walked in only to see minx also sitting down looking scared
We sat in silence for a few minutes

"It'll be fine" i said to the very worried looking minx "it'll all be fine"
She reached over and grabbed my hand
Our arms dangled between the two chairs finger interlocked

The principal walked in and sat down me and minx pulled our hands apart faster than the speed of light
Was it bad i had never learned the principals name in my 4 years here?

"Do you know why you two ladies are here" he asked us

We shook our heads

"You two started a volleyball league" he said looking between us "that is against the rules. Especially when people that are part of this league are making threats to the school teams"

Who in the flying fuck was making threats?

"I did it." I said quickly "mi- becca had nothing to do this. This is all me"

"No need to take all the blame" the principal said "Whether thats true or not she still was part of it"

Fuck.

"We don't need much" the principal said "just shut down your little program and your parents won't be called"

This seemed weird... why was he talking like we shut it down or die?

"Ok" i said

"You're free to go" he said standing up and walking to the door opening it for us

~time skip~

"I can't believe it!" Minx said during lunch banging her fist on the wall of the cafeteria

"Hey its fine" niki who was waiting in line to get food said

"No its not! How do you not care?!" Minx said turning to her

"I DO!" Niki half shouted. she sighed "we cant talk about this here its to public

The three of us headed outside after niki had gotten her muffin

"Now talk niki" minx said

"Fine" niki said sitting down in the grass "of course im mad! How could i not be? Puffy you worked so hard and-"

"Its no big deal" i said cutting her off and pulling out my airpods

"What do you mean its-" minx started

"I have to go for a walk" i said standing back up putting my airpods in

"We'll come with you" minx said niki nodded in agreement

"No. Please. I just-" i started my sentence trailing off

"Its ok" niki said smiling at me

"Have fun" minx said reaching up and rubbing my hand before i walked away

I put all my music play on shuffle

I didnt know what it was i needed to hear just something to distract me

This song had played friday night. When me and minx were on the bales

I thought back to it
It made me happy to think about.
Happier than some of my own friends made me... was that bad?

We had stayed out there until about 1 in the morning
The music had played and as the sunset faded the stars came out

We just laid beside each other and looked at them.
Why this song? It had played right when we finally found the big and little dipper which took us an embarrassing amount of time to do.

Now we had nicknames for eachother

You'd never guess who the little dipper is.
We had changed each others names in our phones to that. We didnt really say it to each other it was more... personal. it was always there but it was kind of a secret
