- Ashley

After a while I heard Mitch yell.

"ASHLEY RUN." Me and Jerome looked at eachother confused then heard a gunshot. I ran to the livingroom to see Mitch falling to the ground with blood on his shirt. NO Mitch!

"MITCH!" I yell and run to his limp body.

"Mitch! Mitch please wake up! Mitch!" I say shaking him. Tears streaming down my face. I felt to hands pull me back.

"Let go of me!" I yelled kicking and punshing. I finnally hit the guy and he let go. I turned around to see it's Jack. Jerome swung towards him with something that I later learned to be a baseball bat. It hit in the head and he fell to the ground aswell. Jerome dropped the bat and came over to me.

"Are you alright?"

"Mitch." I say crawling back over to him. Tears still running down my face. I fount a pulse but it was weak.

"He's still alive Jerome."

"The medics won't be here in time." I heard a female voice. We both turned around to see Winke.

"How do you know?" I asked through sobs.

"Mindreading." She knelt down next to me I noticed she was holding her breath.

"If you want to I can turn him. It's not too late." She wispered. I thought about it as I felt his heartbeat go slower by the second.

"It will hurt for him alot. But he'll survive." She continued. Jerome was in shock standing behind us. I looked her in the eye.

"Would you do it?" I asked her.

"If it was Jerome?" I added. She shook her head no. I thought about it I don't want to lose him. I can't lose him.

"Do it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, do it." She bent down to his neck and placed her lips on it not even a second later he started screaming in pain. Jerome and Winke took Jack to the police station while I stayed with the screaming Mitch. I rubbed comforting circles on his back and chest. Hoping it would settle down a bit. After an hour Jerome and Winke walked back in. Mitch was screaming less by now.

"How is he doing?" Jerome asked.

"It's starting to get better." I told him. I just sat there next to Mitch holding his hand. He started maoning in pain instead of screaming now.

"You guys might want to clean up a bit." Winke said. She was still not enthirely breathing. Propably a benifit of being a vampire not having to breath.

"Why?" I asked.

"You guys are kinde still covered in blood. New ones are triggered pretty fast so I might clean up a bit before he wakes up." She explained. We nodded and I hesitantly let go of Mitch hand.

"No worries I'll take care of him." I nodded and left to take a shower.
