chapter 39

- Mitch

"Stay here." I said to Ashley as I got up and went outside to Jerome. I looked out the window to see him alone. I walked outside.

"What happend?" I asked he turned around tears streaming down his face. 

"She left." 

"What do you mean left?" I heard Ashley ask from behind me. 

"Left, gone, ran away. And I don't know where she went." Jerome said falling down to his knees. Ashey walked up to him my shirt still wrapped around her hand. She sat down next to him and wrapped an arm around him. 

"It's okay. She'll come back." He shook his head and looked up at her. 

"She won't." 

"How do you know?" I asked. 

"She said to move on." I sat down on his other side and hugged him. I felt so bad for him. He lost his first true love. 

"Let's go inside." I say pulling him up. We got to the kitchen and he and Ashley sat down. I turned on the cofee maker while I took out bandages for Ashley's hand. As I finished wrapping up Ash's hand. Jerome's coffee was finished. I gave him the cup and he muttered a quiet thanks. I sighed at the sight of my broken friend. I remebered Ryan. Maybe he knows where she went.

"Stay with him." I wispered to Ashey as I went to the living room to call Ryan. 

"Hey dood." He said when he picked up. 

"Hey have you seen Winke? She ran away." 

"Why did she ran away?" 

"Ashley fell and was bleeding. Her and Jerome went outside and then she left. Jerome is seriously heartbroken I've never seen him like this before." 

"I'm sorry Mitch I don't know where she is but if I see her I'll tell her to stop by." 

"Thanks man. Really appreciate it." I hung up the phone and turned around to be face to face to Jack. Not again. 

"What do you want?" I say backing off. 

"Ashley." 

"Over my dead body." 

"Fine." He then pulled out a gun. 

"Whatever you want." My eyes widen. 

"ASHLEY RUN." I yelled before an incredible pain filled my chest as I blacked out.
