chapter 38

I woke up with Ashley in my arms. I love her so much to think it's only been like a month since we got togheter is insane, it feels like so much longer. I want to propose to her but I think it's too soon. On the other hand we got through some serious stuff togheter. I don't know. I gave Ash a soft kiss on her head and got up and dressed then walked down. I got in the kitchen to see Jerome and Winke talking and eating breakfast. I grabbed the cereal the milk a bowl and a spoon then sat down and started eating aswell.

"Goodmorning to you too Biggums." Jerome said cheerfully.

"Morning." I say back in a grumpy voice.

"Is something bothering you?" WInke asked.

"Don't ask you propably already know." I spat at her. I sighed when I saw her expression. It looked kinda sad. She looked down at her food and just kept silent.

"I'm sorry I'm just confused." I said.

"Don't worry, I indeed know." She said then left the kitchen.

"Why do you act like that to her suddenly?" Jerome asked.

"She's a vampire how do we know she's not gonna kill us? And ontop of that she knows what we're thinking! We don't have any privacy anymore."

"First she won't do that. Second do you know how bad she feels about that?" I sighed again.

"Guess you're right."

"Now what is it that is bothering you?"

"I don't know what to do. I wanna propose to Ashley but I think it's to soon in terms of time, but we've gone through some serious shit togheter. What do I do Jerome?"

"Do you feel like you're ready to marry her?"

"Yes it's all I want."

"Then do it."

"You sure?"

"Positive." I smiled and gave him a hug.

"Thanks biggumms."

"You're welcome." After that I walked in the livingroom to see Winke texting with someone on the coutch.

"Hey Winke I'm really sorry about earlier. I was just being stupid." She turned to me and smiled.

"I know don't worry. Ash will love your plans." I smiled back at her.

"I know she will. I don't need to read mind for that." She smiled and turned back to her phone.

"Hey guys." Ashley said comming down the stairs. Jerome walked in the livingroom aswell.

"Hey there." At the last step Ashley twisted her ankle and fell knocking over the lamp standing next to it. I ran over to her aswell as Jerome.

"Ashley are you alright?" I asked her.

"Yeah I just cut my hand." She said holding up her hand with blood pouring out of it. I looked around for some bandages to see Winke standing frozen in place. It looked like she was holding her breath. The blood, oh no.

"Jerome!" I say he looks towards Winke and goes over to her.

"Come on let's get some fresh air." He said pulling her with him. I took off my shirt and put it over her hand. She blushed.

"I should cut my hand more often."

"Better not with a vampire in the house." She chuckled. I heard Jerome yell something. It sounded like.

"Winke No!"
