chapter 32

After dinner we just went home and started watching TV.

"Let's watch a movie." I suggested.

"Sure which one?" Winke said.

"The Conjuring?" Both Mitch and Jerome said.

"Sure." I said.

"NO!" Winke said.

"Why not babe?" Jerome asked her.

"I really can't take horor movies." She said Jerome wrapped his arms around her shoulder.

"No worries I'm here to protect you."

"Fine but I'll keep you all awake if I can't sleep thanks to this." She said. So we turned on the movie. Me and Mitch where cuddled up to eachother just casually watching the movie. When I looked at Winke and Jerome I saw Winke burry her face in his chest and Jerome comforting her by rubbing small circles on her back. As I knew there was gonna be a jump scare I said.

"Hey Winke you can watch there's not going to be anything scarry for a while." She looked up from Jerome's chest right when the jumpscare happend. She screamed really loud and we all just started laughing.

"Not funny." She said throwing a pillow at me but hitting Mitch instead.

"Hey!" He said.

"Sorry." After that it just went on like before. When the movie finished we just started talking casually.

"I still don't get how you take down a guy who puts a knife to your throat but you're scared out of your mind from a movie." I said to Winke.

"That's because you can't win against something that's not real."

"I still don't get it."

"Let's just leave it be and go to sleep." Mitch said streching and yawning.

"Sure. Night guys." I say and get up.

"Night." They say and Mitch follows me upstairs to our room. I change in my pj's and snuggle up to Mitch who was already in bed.

"Night Ash."

"Night Mitch." I say and give him one last kiss before drifting off to sleep.

I woke up to a scream. I sat up straight in our bed, Mitch did the same.

"What was that?" I asked.

"I have no idea but it sounded like Winke."
