Azula
I woke up uncharacteristically warm. Which is rare for me since I get cold easily. I open my eyes to find out that I'm still on the alcove at Aang's place, in his arms. A blush creeps onto my face as I remember what happened last night.
Oh right.
I guess my stirring woke him up, since not long after I sat up, I hear his voice,
"Hey,"
I look back at his smiling face,
"Hi,"
He groans, sitting up as well. He lets out an extremely animated yawn before speaking up again,
"I can't believe we fell asleep here. Hope it wasn't too uncomfortable for you,"
"Uh, no. It was actually really comfortable. What about you, though? I slept on your arm all night,"
"Nah, it's fine. Appa usually sleeps on my arm if I have it extended,"
Speaking of the giant slobbering dog, he comes out of Aang's room, jumping on me.
"Oh!" I yelp in surprise, shifting uncomfortably,
"Can you get it off me please?" I ask, making Aang chuckle,
"Don't worry, he's a good boy. Pat him over here, helikes that," he says, rubbing behind the giant dog's ears.
I hesitantly do as he says. You can tell I'm not a dog person, but seeing it's face while I pat him, he's actually starting to look cute to me.
"Huh, it's... it's actually not that bad..." I say, a smile forming on my face.
"See? Animals are amazing. I know you're not an animal person but you should give them more of chance, they're surprisingly perceptive of peoples' feelings,"
Is that true?
Appa must've gotten bored because he soon got off of me and went to his dog bed and went back to sleep.
"By the way, did you tell Zuko that you'd be sleeping here last night?"
Shit.
My eyes widen at Aang's words and I hurriedly run to the guest room to get my phone, hearing him remark with a chuckle,
"Guess not,"
I went back outside, scrolling through all of Zuko's texts and missed calls,
Zuzu: Hey, what time are you coming home?
At least tell me where you are
Azula its late and you haven't responded to me, are you okay??
Seriously Azula I bought you this phone so you could let me know where you are
Just get back to me so I know you're alive. My face must've been one of extreme anxiety since Aang appeared beside me,
"Hey, don't worry too much, just call him." he says, giving me a smile.
I look up at him, my face easing back to normal,
"Yeah..." I say absentmindedly, giving Zuko a call.
The phone rings only three times before he picks up,
"Azula? Oh thank Spirits! Where have you been? I called you like ten times!"
"I know, I'm sorry. I was with Aang and I slept here. Zuko, I'm really sorry. Don't be mad please? I'll go home right now."
"Relax, Azula," he says with a chuckle, "I was just worried. Now I know you were just with Aang. Come home whenever you're ready,"
