Chapter 30

Maxine arrived at home and her parents looked strange at her.
"What happened?" she asked. Her arm was bruised so that might be the reason they look at her like that.
"I fell off the bike. It happens" she answered to her parents' looks
"Max, you don't have to lie, what is really happening at school?" asked Stan
"It's nothing..." she tried to form words but her tears failed her
"I was bullied a lot when I was your age, Max. I understand your feelings." he replied kindly
"Did they touch you in inappropriate places on your body and then threatened you?"her mother asked, but  Max continued to cry
Stanley hugged her and let her cry out her feelings about it.

Ben was waiting for his daughter to come home and explain to him why she hid this from him.
"Michaela, did those boys touch you in inappropriate places?" Ben asked. His daughter just nodded. She looks so ashamed to confess to her dad what is that boy doing to her and her friends. She started to cry in front of her parents and her mom hugged her.
"I am sorry, dad. I should've told you that. I am ashamed of what he did."
"You shouldn't be...He's a bully and we will do something to make him stop." Ben said and joined the hug

Jesse returned home and told his parents everything. He wants it to be done with it.

Cole came home and entered his bedroom without saying anything. Richie saw his weird behaviour and walked upstairs to talk to his son.
"Is something wrong, Cole?" he asked. He is not sure what to say. Cole was an easy kid. He always told his parents what was going on in his head.
"Thomas McGrass, a bully at our school is tormenting us. He wants you and dad dead because you love each other." he cried.
"A bully is a bully no matter what. He's going to say things like that to make himself feel better. We are going to school and talk to the principal about it. If our parents didn't care about us when we were little. I wouldn't let you go through something like that." talked Richie. Cole hugged his father and fell asleep in his arms. Richie covers his son with a blanket and walks out of the room.
Eddie came home from work.
"Eds, Cole came home today with a  broken nose and arm. He cried and talked about this bully and how he treats them at school."
"Yeah, I know. Bill called me and told me everything. Tomorrow, we will go to school and report this to school." said Eddie as he was setting the table.

The next day, the parents came at school. They can't say they missed old Derry's middle school because that would be a lie.

The kids were in class waiting for the teacher to come, but Cameron is late because he needed to use the restroom.

A strange laughter was heard. A clown laughter. Cameron never wanted to admit, but he was afraid of clowns and his parents weren't fond of them either for some reason.
A reflection of the clown can be seen on the mirror.
His glared at the boy who was scared of him.
"Uuuuu....a young Denbrough, are we? Billy boy has a boy"
"What are you talking about...?" He managed to form a question
Then, without thinking, he ran away from the bathroom without looking back. Bill and Beverly were at the entrance of the school so Cameron ran to them.
"Mom, dad, a clown...in the bathroom. He has a large number of teeth and he said that he knows I am your son....why is he after me now?" Cameron said in a breath
"Slow down, sweetie. Look. We have something to tell you. When we were little, we fought this clown. All of our friends were involved in this. That brought us together." Beverly confessed
"But you said that your time in college brought you together..." said Cameron
"We couldn't tell you that a gigantic killer clown was after us when you were five, right?" Bill laughed nervously. Pennywise is back and now he wants his child now. It was easier to face him back then because he had nothing to lose. Now he has a child.
"We have to gather the others, Bev" Bill said
"Well, they are outside, so we are going to talk to them now." she replied

After Cameron left, Bill and Beverly went outside where their friends were waiting for them.
"Pennywise is back" announced Bill
"No, that can't be true" replied Ben
"Yes, it's possible....Cameron told us that he saw IT." Beverly said
"Then, it's our children who should fought him. Jesse told me that he heard a strange laughter this morning." said Mike
"Ok...we will prepare them. Our kids must stay together otherwise they'll go missing." said Stan
"I'll pick them up after school. I will bring each of them home." said Richie.
