Chapter 12

"Billy, are you home?" his mother yelled from downstairs
"Yeah, mom, I am" he said
"Come for dinner and ask Beverly to come too."
"Ok" replied Bill.
"Next time, Billy" laughed Beverly
They got dressed and went downstairs where Bill's mother was expecting them. They were shocked to see her sad.
"Mom, what happened?"
"It's about Richie and Eddie. They just got in an accident."
"Oh no...who is with them right now?" Beverly asked.
"Richie's mom.I was there when it happened. They were together when it happened. They were on a date and some drunk driver crashed in them. It was too horrible." she explained
"Let's go, Bev" said Bill. They got in the car and drove to the hospital.
Richie and Eddie were in different rooms so Beverly and Bill will change places.

Bill's point of view
"Hey Trash mouth. It's me, Big Bill. Now I am in a relationship with Beverly. I heard great things about you and Eddie. It's high time you asked him out. " said Bill.
It's sad for me to see Richie like this.
I've known him since I was little and we are best friends. I don't know where would I be if it wasn't for Richie. He brought Eddie, Stan and I together.
Beverly came in and put her arms around my shoulders.
"It's your turn to stay with Eddie." said Beverly softly.
"Is he better now?" I asked. N
"No, not yet." Bev responded.
I walked out of Richie's room and walked through the dirty corridor. Eddie will freak out if he wakes up in this place.
"Bill, what happened?" Eddie asked faintly.
" You had an accident, but now you are safe."
" Safe? In this place full of germs. This hospital hasn't been cleaned since dinosaurs disappeared. You know that we might die if we get an infection from this filthy place?" Eddie asked annoyed
" You are fine, Eds" I laughed
"Yeah, laugh all you want. Where's Rich?" asked Eddie concerned
"He is in another room. He is not awake." I replied.
"He jumped in front of me to make sure I don't get hurt. If something happens to him, I don't know what I'll do." Eddie started to cry.
I hugged him and let him cry on my shoulder.
Beverly walked in and saw Eddie awake.
"Eddie, how are you feeling?" she asked
"I am fine, but Richie is n't" Eddie cried.
"Richie will be fine, he's the strongest guy I know. He fights for you, as always." Bev reassured him
"Thanks guys, I don't know what would we do without you. I thought you wouldn't support us." 
" Of course we support you. You are our friends. We love you just the way you are."  I said. 
"Where are the others?" asked Eddie
"They don't know what happened. It was just me and Bev when mom told us." I responded.
"Go to sleep, you look exhausted. Thank you for being here. Richie and I appreciate it, but I want you to get rest. And don't catch germs, they are everywhere." said Eddie.
"Alright, we'll be back in the morning with the rest of the gang and a big cake for you too." said Bev
"Thank you, goodnight, Bill and Bev"
" Good night, Eddie Spaghetti"

Bev and I got back in the car and drove home. We went to bed and fell asleep immediately. We were exhausted.

Author's point of view
Bill's mother cover both Bill and Beverly and went to bed. In the hospital Eddie couldn't sleep because of a nightmare he just had. It was a walking infection that was chasing him. He tried to run from it, but he woke up immediately.
He got off the bed and went to Richie's room. He found Richie awake and confused.
"Where are we? And why are you wearing your mom's dress?"asked Richie
"Firstly, it's not a dress, it's a hospital gown, secondly, are you okay?" Eddie replied
"I am fine, how else am I supposed to be?" Richie asked
"Do you feel a part of your body hurting?" Eddie asked.
"Ed's, I am fine, don't worry." Richie responded.
The losers surprised them with a great party the next day at Richie's hospital room. They drank soda because alcohol isn't allowed in the hospital. They listened to music and danced
