I was in the middle of class when a knock shattered the unusual tranquility of the classroom, breaking the bubble of calm that had fall over us. I lifted my head when a familiar voice slipped in. "Could I borrow Pandora Wilson, sir?"
Laken?
I shot him a confused glance before glancing at the teacher, who seemed to be considering it. He looked suspiciously at Laken, asking the question we both were pondering. "Why?"
Laken -obviously being the idiot he was -didn't think of an excuse for whatever he was planning. "She's sick today so I thought I'd take her to the nurse incase it was anything serious." I blinked, bewildered at the excuse he must have conjoined from his arse.
The teacher stared blankly for a second, before frowning. "She is?" He spun his attention to me and I just barely made eye contact with Laken who sent me a pointed look. Without missing a beat, I started coughing like I was swallowing sandpaper. I thumped my chest with my fist to make it look like it look believable as I hacked up cough after cough.
"See sir? I'll bring her back, I promise, but I think she should see the doctor in case it gets worse." He spoke up, shrugging like it was reasonable.
"I think she is fi-" the teacher was cut off when Laken gave me another pointed look and I dramatically shot to my feet.
"I think I'm gonna faint. My head hurts." I rasped, holding my head like it was spinning. I staggered as if my knees were about to give out, only catching the table at the last second for effect.
A heavy sigh escaped him as if he couldn't be bothered to deal with us any longer. "Alright, fine. Be quick-and no kidnapping," he added pointedly to Laken.
When the door closed and the sound of his lecture resumed, I straightened looked over at the impatiently waiting snowman. "I found something, come look." He urged, already half way across the hallway.
I glanced around for any strolling students before quickly following after him.
The journey ended up longer than we expected because every time we saw a teacher, I had to pretend I was sick and Laken held me up like I was about on my last life. As if I was about to domino. Honestly I should've. Maybe even taken him down with me.
We reached a storeroom a few while later and he whipped out a key, quietly unlocking it. Why did these boys seemed to have keys to everywhere? I silently questioned as I followed in after him and he closed the door behind us.
Shelves stretched across the room, stacked with cleaning supplies, random odds and ends, and junk shoved in every corner. Somewhere near the back, I could have sworn I even saw a pack of condoms.
"What is it?" I asked, brows raised.
"We are going to play a little prank on dear, old Henny," He gleefully answered, striding forward. He pulled a large gallon of clear glue from one of the shelves before disappearing near the back. He returned a few seconds later, with a bottle of pink glitter.
