"Hey girl, come here." I held my arms open, welcoming the tiny embrace of a child.
Isabella's hands came curling around my neck as she hugged me with all her might and I stood back up from my bent position. "I missed you dory." She whispered, placing a kiss on my cheek in welcome.
"I missed you too, munchkin." I looked past her towards Adir who was accompanying me to my father's house. We just had to make a quick pit stop to see Isa first.
She quietly stared at the stitches on the side of my head - it had been a week since we were kidnapped. "Does it hurt?"
"Nope." I smiled at her, watching the look in her eyes that told me she didn't believe me. "You can touch it if you want." She shook her head, eyeing the clean thread that could be seen. "It won't hurt, here."
I took her hand gently and placed it on the stitches. Hesitantly, she barley placed her fingers on the closed wound. I had the sudden urge to pretend like she just set me on fire and scream but I knew I'd terrify her to the point she'd faint of shock.
I placed her down after a moment, allowing her to go back to Adir. He walked away, his hand encasing Isa's as she talked to him, watching with those big, adorable eyes. To my suprised, laken came running- after he had gone to the bathroom- and without a stop, he swept Isa off her feet and ran off with her.
Adir simple looked down at his empty hand then back at where their laughing forms slowly disappeared. He narrowed his eyes before he was gone like the wind.
Soon I found myself standing outside Isa's family house door, talking to her mother. "We'll look after her," I assured her mother. "I'll bring her back once I'm done. I'm sure she would like to be out for a bit."
She looked like she wanted to deny it but eventually gave in, reluctantly. "Hey Maia, I promise, okay? I promise she'll be safe with us." I said just as we heard her daughter screech and we both glanced over to see Laken throwing her into the air before quickly catching her as she came down. Laken continued throwing her, making airplane noises as he held her horizontally like she was flying.
"I know she'll be safe with you, Pandora. I'm worried about something else." She muttered but before I could ask, she was gone, having said a quick goodbye.

"Ready?"
I nodded uneasily as I knocked on the large, oak door. My heart felt like it was having an exorcism, as if it was beating to the point of no return. My fingertips felt electric like everything I touch would light up.
I'm glad that my head was at least healed after being treated in the hospital for a couple days before returning to Will's to rest for the rest of the week.
The school hadn't made a move to force the boys back into school again after Will had demanded them to give the boys a break. His exact words were "they have been through something traumatic and you expect them to simply sit in class and continue learning? You're a bunch of ignorant fools if you think I'm going to allow you to do that. Give them three weeks and they can go back. If they fall behind then they can catch up; it's not that hard so for God's grief, let them stay with me because I will not be taking no as an answer."
