My hand glides across the bed, searching for him. It retracts back to my side when I feel nothing but soft fabric. Sitting up, I see Colby sitting at his desk, clicking away at his computer.
He hears me wake up and looks at me over his shoulder, grinning at me, "Good morning." His voice is still low from sleep.
I run a hand through my hair, my fingers pulling slightly at a few tangles, "You're up early." I smirk, crawling out from under the blanket.
"I've been editing last night's video." He says as I approach him from behind, bending down and wrapping my arms around him, letting my head rest on his shoulder.
He kisses my temple and shows me certain clips he finished. On the screen, we run up the escalator steps. He cut out the part where we nearly kiss and it skips to us running back to alert the others of the cops.
"Looks good," I whisper in his ear, "want some breakfast?"
He smiles at the question, standing up from his chair, "Can we skip to dessert?"
Before I even have a chance to process, his hands pull me up by my thighs. I jump and wrap my legs around his waist and all in one breath, his lips hit mine. My hands nest in his already messy hair, pulling him in further. A small moan escapes his mouth at my hungry touch.
My back hits the mattress, and he hovers over me, trailing kisses across my neck. He guides me upward to tug my sweatshirt off, directing the kisses to my chest.
This time feels different. He's taking his time. A giggle surfaces here and there. His hands explore more gently.
It feels more... real.

Bacon sizzles in the pan as I glide it around with a fork. Heavy footsteps clamber down the stairs towards me, "I smell bacon-" Corey double takes at me over the stove, "Oh shit, you even cook too? Colby finally brought a good one home!" He beams, sliding into a barstool at the island.
I raise my eyebrows at him, "He brings a lot of girls home, huh?" I laugh half-heartedly. Part of me hopes he ignores my comment, the other half genuinely wants to know.
He starts shaking his head nervously and clears his throat, "Nah, nah. I'll shut up." His eyes are wide as he makes a face.
Neither of us can't hold back our laughter.
Another pair of footsteps bounce down the stairs, and Sam's blond hair comes into view, "Woah, you're making breakfast?" He gasps, grinning ear to ear.
"Why is this so shocking to everyone!" I mock offense, dramatically flipping the bacon around. Him and Corey just smirk at each other.
I roll my eyes as I search the cabinets until I find the plates, setting one down in front of each of them before giving them each an egg and some bacon.
Soon enough, Colby comes down when he hears all of us talking. Devyn and Kat follow not too long after. They told me Elton was already out shopping for something for a video, and Aaron never wakes up before 2:00pm. We all sit around the island enjoying breakfast together.
"Hey," Colby leans close to me, "I know you said you have to be home by 3:00 for work, do you mind if Sam gives you a ride so I can finish editing the video? He already said he's cool with it."
I swallow the food in my mouth and nod, "Yeah, that's fine."
He grabs my hand, planting a quick kiss on my knuckles, "Awesome."
As selfish as it seems, I'm kind of glad Sam's giving me a ride. He knows Colby more than anyone. Maybe with his help, I can find out if this is just a game to Colby. As happy as I am to see this new side to him, it all happened as fast as flipping a light switch. I can't help but wonder, is it real, or is he just playing me like he has been?
