I scrambled to my feet and grabbed the rope.
I fix it in the same spot, as last time.
I knock over the chair but the rope breaks.
"You're not going to win." I warn God.
"Everything okay?" My mother asked through the door.
"Yeah, I'm fine.." I hold back my sobbing.
This is suppose to be the part, where she finds me dead.
I get a brand new rope out of a package, in my room.
I tie it up and kick the chair from under me, it breaks.
I get two ropes this next time and tie it up.
The chair falls and down I fall on my butt.
Both ropes break.
"Stop it!" I cry.
"That's not fair!" I shout.
Valerie walks in right then.
"Lillia, wha-"
"Valerie!?" I interrupt her.
"Yeah...?"
"You're alive!?"
"Uh, yeah, you're alive too??? Am I not normal for being alive?"
"No, it's just. I haven't heard your voice in a long time. I thought you were gone."
"Uh, no. You're such a toad, I was just here yesterday." She laughed.
"Oh my gosh" I hug her tight.
Josh.
Oh my gosh. Josh.
I grab my jacket and put my shoes on.
"Whoa, no need for a hurry. The movie doesn't start till six." She states.
"Uh, I'm not going. I can't make it."
"Wait, what??"
"I have to find Josh."
"What, Lillia? Josh is on his way to his cousins."
"Has he left his house yet?" I ask.
"I don't know???? But, you probably shouldn't go see him."
"Yes I should."
"Lillia, I'm sorry but I thought you already knew this...he doesn't love you anymore."
"Yes he does." I state exiting out of my room, with a big smile.
"Uh-" is all I hear for her reply.
