I have finally reached the age of nine and i am ready for everything that will come at me. Around a year and a half ago our instructors educated up on where everything in the forest of jura is located, or at least a general idea.
About three months ago I reached a very high mastery level in my custom style of fighting that I ended up naming the Tail Warrior Arts. Yes, it is named after the title I earned two years ago that I said I hated, but if you haven't noticed it's grown on me.
Due to me actually having a reputation around the tribe for a few years now, I am seen as one of our rising stars and am greatly respected now. According to some rumors that went around Gabiru wants to have a fight with me to test how legendary my fighting skills really are, I'll wait till this upcoming battle.
Speaking of Gabiru, that is actually his name now. Apparently he and his group decided to explore the area outside the tribe just a week ago and ended up meeting a certain demon, Gelmud.
This means that the story could be close to starting so I need to get to my father asap and this also means Rigurd's eldest son might already named, the anime never mentioned who was first or how long ago they were named. Even if I did know that I need today to be safe.
Before all of us young adults are given permission to leave the tribes borders we have to go through a kind of battle royale I mentioned earlier to see who leaves first. Currently were all in the stadium waiting for the chieftain to announce the start of this fight.
Abiru: "Hello young soldiers of the lizardmen, today can be seen as a coming of age battle to see who is more prepared to leave the safety of the tribe and explore the forest we inhabit," he yells while sitting on his makeshift thrown.
Random lizardman: "Does he really think any of us have a chance with the tail warrior and sir Gabiru?" a young lizardman mutters under his breath a few fighters away from me.
Abiru: "Now I know were all anxious so lets begin when I say, all soldiers in the stadium get ready," he continues
I pull my glaive from the floor to me with my tail and spin it around a few times to get warmed up. Once I'm ready I look ahead of me with my game face on and I can see a few others doing the same.
Abiru: "And begin!!" he says, finally starting the battle.
(White stick man is my oc and the green is Soaka)
(They are only using polearm type weapons and there is no blood)
Me and Soaka stand in front of each other for a few moments before she finally passes out, leaving me the victor of that fight. Now the only person left is Gabiru and it seems like he's been waiting so I walk over to him.
Tail warrior: "So Gabiru, I heard you wanted to challenge me?"
Gabiru: "You heard right Tail warrior, I wanna see what type of woman you are," he says while getting in a fighting stance.
Tail warrior: "Very well, let's begin," I respond while rushing at him.
Me and Gabiru train blows for a solid 3 minutes before it starts being obvious that he is at a against me disadvantage. It appears we are about to clash again when Gabiru puts his and up and starts talking, making me halt my advance.
Gabiru: "I have officially made my decision that you will be my woman," he screams with full confidence.
Tail warrior: " No," I respond without a second thought while preparing a weaker version of titans tail.
Once Gabiru hits the ground everything is quiet for a few moments before the whole crowd starts screaming my title over and over, I officially won. While this was going I walked up to the chieftain and took a knee, waiting for him.
To my surprise though, while the crowd is still cheering he stands up and makes his way over to me with a kind smile. This action makes everyone calm down immediately so they could listen in. Once he reaches me he leans down near me and starts to whisper.
Abiru: "I knew you would make a fine warrior one day," he whispers with genuine happiness. " The day I heard you were away from the rest of the hatchlings for expended periods of time I knew your were of a different breed because of the way you took charge of your life, I respect you for that young warrior. No, child of Veldora."
The second I heard that I looked at him abruptly with wide eyes, he just chuckled a little bit in response. I decided to play dumb and act like my surprised face was from finding this out.
Tail warrior: " W-why are you so sure it's him?"
Abiru: "The day you were hatched I could feel his overwhelming aura covering you before you seemed to suck it back into yourself, it was unmistakable," he responds.
Tail warrior: " Wow. will you let me meet him?" I whisper to him hopefully.
He just puts a hand my shoulder and nods with a kind smile before heading back to this thrown. I get up and turn away from him but he stops me with a few more words to say.
Abiru: "If he doesn't except you child, just remember you always have a home here with us," He responds with a kind glance.
I leave the stadium and head in the direction of my father with a screaming crowd and a begging Gabiru in the distance behind me. I'm coming home father.
