James was currently watching a episode of "That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime" while walking down the street. Due to him not paying attention while crossing the road he ended up getting struck by a moving truck.

It has been about a week and a half since Milim started to stay in the forest with all of us and there hasn't been any out of place figures roaming around yet. Currently I mainly want to find Phobio before he gets his claws on Rigurd, I've never liked the guy so this opportunity will be perfect.
Right now me and Milim are strolling through my town and admiring the new homes that are almost done due to the orcs dedication. I believe I'll start my home in a week or two due to there progress.
Milim: "I can't believe you guys can build such decorated and stable homes so fast!" she yells while skipping around.
Vendela: "I'm just as surprised as you Milim, our people are really something," I respond with a smile
Milim: "Hey Ven?" she calls me with the nickname she made.
Vendela: "Yes Mil? I respond with my own nickname.
Milim: "Why don't you be a demon lord? You could easily beat half of them," she states.
Vendela: "Mil, you do realize I'm a true dragon right?" I ask her.
Milim: "Yes but that does that have to do with you becoming a demon lord?" she asks.
Vendela: "Have any members of our family become on other then you?" I ask her.
Milim: "No," she responds.
Vendela: "Well that is because we are a force of nature that watches over the world in a different way then demon lords do, now we aren't against aligning ourselves with them though," I tell her.
Milim: "So your saying you can't have both roles?" she asks.
Vendela: "Mil, I was born a true dragon two weeks ago so I don't know everything but I know personally that I would rather protect the land every being walks on then keep tabs on the humans, get it?" I explain
Milim just nods her head in understanding an immediately goes back to skipping around and seeing the sights. Before we could start another conversation I get a message.
Dryad: : 'Mistress! There are four beastmen in black armor approaching capital city Rimuru,' she informs me.
Vendela: 'I see, I'll head that way now. Tell everyone to head back to there regular duties but to update me if anything happens,' I think to her.
Dryad: 'It will be done mistress,' she thinks back.
Once the link is cut off I suggest to Milim that we head to Rimuru's area and check out there food, this got her to agree immediately. Once we arrived we could see a crowd starting to form so I suggested we check it out, when we got there we say Phobio and his companions talking to Rigurd.
Before he could punch Rigurd I sped in front of him and took the punch instead. Gasps could be heard from everyone in the crowd once they all saw I took the punch. Phobio was looking at me surprised for two reasons, I didn't react to the punch and that I was so fast that it looked like I appeared there.
Phobio: "What, identify yourself," he asked disrespectfully.
One those words left his mouth I grabbed his fist that was still in contact with my face while twisting his arm and forced him down to his knees in pain.
Vendela: "You come into my territory and demand things of me you cockroach!?" I yell while unleashing my aura.
Everyone in the forest could feel my anger flowing through the trees and even the stones on the road were emitting it, but for some reason it felt calming to those who call the place home.
Vendela: "You even have the balls to attempt to injure one of the people I swore to protect! Let me put you back were you belong!" I say while angrily slamming my tail on the road, cracking it in the process.
I winded up my free hand and cover it in my scales before sending it his way. Before it hit him though, Rimuru appeared in my way in his human form to stop me, forcing me to stop my hand before it hit him by inches.
Rimuru: "Calm down Vendela, doing that will give us more trouble than it's worth," he says calmly.
I put my fist down and let Phobio go while still staring Rimuru directly in the eyes.
Vendela: 'One of these days Rimuru your kindness will be taken advantage of. What will you do when someone stabs us all through the back because of that?' I think to him.
A look of surprise goes across his face before he sighs and turns to Phobio.
Rimuru: 'That won't happen,' he says firmly while giving Phobio a potion to undo my damage.
